More of a 2.5 stars unfortunately. I was a complete Nine West addict at one point in my life. I’m sure the shoes thrown in the garage at home could at least merit me a stall somewhere in the Eaton Centre. My ardour has cooled in recent years but I still decided to give them a try when I was searching for shoes to match a dress recently. This store is small and mall-sized. It felt very crowded; but I have a feeling it would feel crowded with just a couple of shoppers. It has that tight feeling to it. As it was, there were lots of customers in there prancing around in shiny shoes-possibly lured in by the big red sales signs. It’s kind of teen heaven. And I’m turning into a grumpy post graduate aged person. I managed to find some shoes that looked promising and asked to try a 5 or 6. The helpful girl said she just had a pair in 5.5 so I tried them. They felt snug but I convinced myself I could walk in them and decided to buy. They had no markdown sticker and she charged me full price so I assumed they weren’t on sale and walked out pretty happy with the experience. I was happy until I realised they were definitely too tight and went to the Bloor Store to exchange them. I discovered that they were actually on sale and that there was also an extra 25% off sale items. This was a real double whammy of overcharging-to the tune of almost $ 50(tax included). Yikes! I was lucky that the Bloor store sorted it out for me. I think this location will be relegated to shoe emergencies only!
