Organizing by Marshall

I honestly didn’t know what to expect when Steph first came. My office was making me crazy — it had become the family catch-​all and I needed it to be functional so that I could work productively, but I didn’t know how someone else could help with that. After all — it was my stuff, and I figured I was the person who would have to sort it out, so what could someone else really do? As it turns out, quite a lot, actually! On her first visit, she had some great ideas for the set up of the room — furniture that should be moved, gotten rid of, or purchased. When she came back to actually sort things out, she was able to figure out my work flow and design a system for storing things where they could be easily found and used when needed. She also pushed me to get rid of things that were unnecessary, had clever and efficient storage ideas, and found lovely ways to use/​showcase the items that were of sentimental value. Frankly, just having her come also gave me a reason to carve out the time to deal with this mess. The result — a beautiful, minimalist, tidy, zen space where I can keep our family organized and work productively! Thank you, Steph!

I thought my place was neat. When Stephanie showed up I didn’t realize how much crap I had underneath my neat looking place. Thanks Steph! I can now say my place is so much neater.

Before Stephanie came in, I knew I had clutter — I didn’t realize how much useless crap I had been lugging around, some of it for DECADES. She was able to gently but firmly convince me to cut the cord and let the crap go, and organize the stuff that’s worth keeping so that I can feel good about keeping it. My house looks better, feels better, works better!
