OK. VERY mixed review here. On the plus side — they said it would be 1 – 2 days to install a new power supply and video card. 48 hours, whereas most places were saying 10 – 14 days. 48 hours later, it was ready and working. Also on the plus side — they suggested that since my motherboard comes with an integrated video card, not to bother buying a new one, since the problems had been caused by the external secondary card. I like a store that tries to save the customer money. The new power supply PLUS labour — and they spent a goodly while working on trying to identify the cause of the video card problem — $ 90, including HST. Again, major plus. For the speed and price alone, I’d give them five stars. It’s the other problems that take two off. On the minus side — while they were working on my PC, I logged into FB from my laptop and discovered I was now signed up for Farmville, Petville and Texas Hold ‘em Poker. I had told them games on FB seemed to be where my videocard was having problems — but if you’re going to test that out, use your OWN account to sign into games, don’t subscribe your customer to additional services. (I mentioned this to the gentleman at the counter when I picked up the PC, and his comment was«free?,» implying that the price of the services they signed me up for would be the only issue.) At the point where I discovered this, I changed my FB passwork. When I picked up my PC, I checked my history. One of the sites visited with my computer was a site for hacking FB passwords. So. Fast and inexpensive service, but make sure you don’t have passwords saved in your browser memory and try not to mind what sites they visit with your computer or what they do with it. ADDENDUM: Two hours after I wrote the above and an email to them, I received an apology from the technician for visiting anything he shouldn’t have while testing my computer. Still keeping my changed passwords, but that apology goes a LONG way and just gained them another star.
