My seagate 1.5tb hard drive crashed a few months ago, containing ~100gb of family photos and videos, and so I hopped onto the interwebs/Yelp to find an affordable data recovery place. I saw all of the positive reviews on here and decided to give it a go.
I brought my hard drive to Amir, and within a few days, I received a call back with an estimate of $ 300.00-$ 700.00, and decided to go with it — apparently the «head» of the drive was damaged, which is pretty serious and involves ordering in parts and such. I consulted other businesses in the area and their range was much larger — usually into the thousands of $$$.
A week later, Amir contacted me and let me know that my data was ready. When I arrived at PCNix, my data wasn’t quite ready and the store would be closing before the data transfer was complete; however, Amir was accommodating, as he stayed back and called me when it was finished.
I decided to purchase a 1tb «A-DATA» drive from PCNix for $ 100 for the recovered data to be transferred to, as Amir claims that these drives are easier to access, should the data fail again, compared to seagate and western digital.
If your hard drive ever crashes or you need computer repairs, I’d highly recommend PCNix.

My computer crashed a few months ago with all my photos that I was too lazy to back up. I took it to my usual guy and after a few weeks he told me he could not access my files. I didn’t lose hope and searched on Unilocal for a place. Found pcnix, as my first option they are 5 minutes walking distance from me. Amir and Judith were great, he didn’t give me false hope and in the end recovered all my photos. Great, fast and friendly service.

The hard drive on my computer crashed. I had no back up. Amir was not only able to repair the computer, but he also recovered all my data, upgraded the operating system and reloaded all the data back to the new hard drive. The computer works like new now. I am thrilled that he was able to recover everything on the computer.

Amir’s service was amazing. I cracked my laptop screen and needed a fast fix. After seeing all the excellent reviews, I took my laptop to PCNix. I wasn’t disappointed! My hinge was also broken due to a separate incident — when the damage occurred, I just decided to live with it, but Amir fixed that issue as well for a great price. The repairs are flawless. Drop off could not have been easier. Amir’s service and attention to detail was first rate. He listened carefully and took notes as I explained how my PC died. He provided a detailed receipt with a QR code so that I could get updates easily.
Unfortunately my PC was totally dead. But the service and support exceeded my expectations.

I like to try a place more than one time before I write a review to make sure I give it a fair review. I can say without question, Amir at PCNix deserves 5 stars!
As I’m fairly good with fixing my own computer I only bring it in once I’ve exhausted all my options. I brought my really old desktop in that kept on shutting down on me and Amir was able with just a few new parts to give me something that worked amazingly! He’s also done a data recovery for me, tested some optical drives, as well us updated a netbook that now works great!
Amir’s prices are always fair and he is friendly and such a pleasure to deal with. He’s been incredibly helpful in bringing my desktop up the stairs and is always quick with his service. I’m a pretty tough judge and I can honestly say I am very happy with PCNix and recommend this company to anyone that needs any help with their computer!

I recently had an issue with my laptop, and decided to check out PCNix. I am so glad I did! Amir is a great guy, and was super helpful. He was honest, and I didn’t feel like he took advantage of my unfamiliarity with computers (which is something I have seen happen with computer repair).
Great job done– my laptop is better than ever, and GREAT customer service, for a minimal price. I would definitely 100% recommend going to PCNix to anyone who is worried about getting ripped off.

I stopped by PCNix for a problem with my laptop’s screen. Within 20 minutes the technician had taken apart my computer diagnosed AND FIXED the problem, and all for a super reasonable price. I will definitely be going back for any hardware problems I experience.
