Since my PC’s hard drive failed with a help from a friend I had to reinstall windows. After a couple of days I started to suffer from a PC error known as the blue screen of death. When I play game on my pc for a few minutes it crashes. However, when for light tasks like browsing it crashed every hour or so. I wanted to fix it and I was too lazy so I decided to hand it over to a «professional» and get the job done. I told him the problem and asked him if he can sort it out. He said he will investigate and install drivers to solve the problem. I gave him 60 bucks and by the next day my pc will be ready. The next day I picked the PC and he told me, being the good guy he is, he added few more drivers at no cost and tested it and the problem is solved.
Sadly, when I started to play my game again (SC2) the problem was not resolved. The pc continued to crash every 5 mins ago. So I went back and told him it was not solved and I was surprised his attitude changed. He said he could not do anything and in fact he said PC’s are not meant for gaming and I should use consoles instead. He quite bluntly told me he forte is repairing gaming consoles while showing off the stacks of consoles he has for repair. Really? So it is my fault for trying to play a game on a gaming PC!
Enraged I got home and decided to solve this problem once and for all. I started googling non stop going on one forum to the next and installing updates and software left right and center. Using this software called the «blue screen view» I was able to record the error and google it. Thanks to the smart people around the world sharing their knowledge on tech forums I was finally able to solve my problem within an hour and a bit. My IT knowledge is non existent and and I am sure someone more IT literate could have done it much sooner.
If you got some software problems with your computer I suggest with a little googling and patience you can fix it yourself. You spare yourself money, grief and attitude!
P.S I would have had any of this trouble if I decided to spend a 200 dollars more on a pc instead of buying a Lenovo Y50.

My PC started to smoke. And not in the good, makes you want to go get some pulled pork nachos kind of way.
I tried to fix it myself but got in over my head. Took it in here and boom. The dude fixed it in a day, replaced the power supply, changed the video card, and put it all in all for under $ 100. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
I cant endorse his other services, but sign says he fixes laptops, xBoxes and Playstations too.
Cheap, cheerful and quick. What more do you want?
