Went in to get visa photo taken. Told them i need a chinese visa photo taken and girls says ok. I get the photo and i confirm with the girl that its for a chinese visa and she says yes. Go to the visa center and turns out size is wrong. Go back to rapid photo to tell them they gave me the wrong size and girls repsonse was «Ill take it again for you and i wont charge you». Are you serious? Not even an apology for screwing up and wasting my time by giving me the wrong photo size. Get your act together!

Rapid Photo is fantastic! I dropped by around 8:30 on Thursday morning and waited less than 2 minutes to get started on taking my passport photo. There was a mirror and blotting papers (to combat any shine) and the lady who was working there that morning was very sweet and patient with me (I must have done 4 or 5 retakes to get a picture I liked).
She happily took the $ 2 off coupon I brought with me and finished up printing and processing my passport photos in less than 5 minutes.
I really can’t think of anywhere else in the PATH where you can get good quality passport photos for $ 10.
PS– I spent less than 10 minutes total in the store!!!

The majority of reviews here are talking about passport photos and… I’m no exception. It was great! If you need your passport done pretty quickly and efficiently without a fuss, go here.
Make sure to look for the $ 2 off coupon on their website. This takes the price down to around $ 10. Pricier than Costco and many Chinese places, for sure, but at least this one is convenient when you’re on your lunch break and have to go to the passport office on the same day in a hurry.
Oh, and it’s cheaper than Black’s ($ 23.99 ARE YOU KIDDING ME??)
Service was quick, pleasant, and no-fuss. Keep in mind I haven’t actually gotten my passport back yet so I can’t 100% confirm if the pictures meet the criteria that the government wants (lol), but I’m putting my faith that the picture size was correct.
Small, sad-looking but pretty comprehensive food court nearby too if you’re feeling for a bit of a nosh.

Fast, friendly and efficient. If your looking for quick service then this is the place. Can’t say they are the cheapest but was good enough. I printed 5×7 and 4×6 pictures and it came out pretty good.
They also print on mugs, tshirt, phone cases asnd stuff. Not sure about the price for those.
Check it out if your looking to print quick.

I had a disposable camera that I wanted to develop. I came here because I read about it on Reddit: (

I thought that it’s supposed to be cheap, since it’s only got one dollar sign beside it.
I went to the place. I asked how much it is to develop a disposable camera. The staff told me that it would be $ 25. I asked if it was for one-hour service. The staff told me that it’s for a week. I thanked her, and left.
I went to the Annex Photo, where I usually develop disposable camera photos. It was a bit more than $ 9 for three-day service.
Maybe Rapid Photo is cheap for passport photos (I have no idea), but definitely not for disposable camera photos.

Came here during the lunch hour for passport photos. Service was indeed «rapid» and prints are instant. I was literally in and out of the store in 3 minutes with two signed and dated passport photos.
My only qualm is that I would have preferred if the photographer fixed me up a bit before taking the photo and told me when she was taking the photo– ex: ensure there are no wild strands of hair and count to 3. Other than this, the service was excellent.
Cost: $ 11.99 + tax for two passport photos.
Protip: Go on their website and print out the $ 2 discount coupon, passport photos will only cost $ 9.99.

It’s not the cheapest place to get a passport photo, but the people are friendly, and you can get it all done within 5 minutes. be sure to check their website for coupons which will save you a few dollars on passport/visa photos.

Not impressed. Big sign outside advertising $ 9.99 passport photos. I went in to get a photo for an exam, smaller size than passport photo but essentially same process (and in fact I didn’t even specify the size, just that it was for an exam), and was asked to pay a higher price. I had to ask for an explanation, and the one given was rather dismissive (something about U. S passport photos etc.). A small amount, but a scam is a scam.

Just checked this place out for a visa photo after consulting the all-knowing Unilocal.It sure was rapid, alright, and if I were in the business of rating local joints based on the promises of their creative store names, I’d have to give a 5. But of course, we Unilocalers always look for so much more than speed!
Maybe I’m old-fashioned (side note: I’m definitely not) and maybe I’m needy (introspection: …possible?) but it was rapid to the extent that I felt I was being rushed out so that the three women in pink-polos behind the counter can go back to their daily chit-chats. They were prompt to pause their chats to serve me as soon as I entered and friendly enough, but I walked out wishing I got a little more warmth and time of day. BUT, I realize this no hassle, in & out business is what many look for, especially on the PATH corridors.
The photo quality appeared to be nothing extraordinary for the price. It was nearly $ 14 for two photos after tax — which, call me old-fashioned again — was a little bit of a surprise. Perhaps I’m just dreaming in a delusional universe where Toronto sans inflation and rising costs of living can still enjoy cheap eats and services.
I would check them out again if I am in a rush, but will probably look around for other Passport photo spots if I’ve got the time.

Quick and friendly service. I needed a passport photo taken and was served right away. By the time I finished paying, the photos were already printed and put in their little envelope. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Would definitely visit again, perhaps for one of their many photo-printed items like iPhone cases, mugs and coasters.

Most people seem to go here for passport photos. I had a Groupon coupon for slide scanning.
The service was great. Lovely, helpful staff and owner/manager.
My complaint is about the quality of the scans themselves. They were much too contrasty and I am not able to use most of them. I suspect that they crank up the contrast to give slides with less contrast a little punch. Unfortunately for me, my slides were already had lots of contrast and didn’t need this. All of the slide scans came out like this, so they obviously don’t test a few scans to start and then make adjustments.
I can’t say anything about the photo scanning they do, or the conversion from VHS to digital.

Thanks, Unilocal for helping me find this place. It’s right downtown and yet I wouldn’t have known about it otherwise, since it’s on the basement level of the Sheraton Hotel complex.
2 photos for $ 9 (or $ 5 on saturdays with an online coupon
, but their saturday hours are variable… you have to phone on friday) which they guarantee will meet requirements for whatever you are using it for. I was in and out in 5 minutes. It doesn’t get much better than that! My not-smiling facial expression turned out a little dazed, but that’s not their fault…

Nice lady, good quality shots, good price, and a quick and easy process once actually getting in the door.
Only minus a star because I called on Friday to confirm what their hours would be on the Saturday, only to show up and them to not be open. Luckily after a bit of shopping we stopped by again and they were open.

I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews, but this place wowed me enough to want to say something!
I had to get 8 passport-style photos for my U.S. immigration papers and everywhere else that was close to me was ridiculously priced (West Camera $ 12.95 for first pic, $ 6 each after that; Duff Mall Walmart, $ 14.99 set of 2, no discounts), so I decided to head east to Rapid Photo, who would honor their internet coupon of $ 8.98 for 4 passport photos — even if I used it twice.
Very friendly staff, I was in and out in probably less than 3 or 4 minutes, and I paid $ 20 for 8 passport photos.
You honestly can’t go wrong. Recommending to all my friends.

so have you ever had a last minute decision to create this awesome photo present to your amazing friend who just has to have this mug with the shot of his/her friends’ silly faces…
I had that happened to me at least few times. and it always was max one week prior to the bday/farewell/wedding/whatever party that it had to be ready for.
then of course you always go to these big name photo stores that have all these online store features. and after you’re about to submit the order the note tells you that it will take up to 10 business days for your order to arrive. well thank you very much. that’s too late.
but Rapid Photo does these things in a day! and most of the times cheaper and the staff is super friendly!

I hold a Sri Lankan passport, in other words I need to apply for a visa to travel almost anywhere on earth. Combine that with my tendency as someone that gets stuff done last minute, a place like Rapid Photo is a godsend to me!
It sticks completely true to it’s name and does indeed deliver in a «rapid» fashion (used it 3 times and had a 10 minute wait each time!) For $ 10 you’re hooked up with 2 pictures (I’m 97% certain it’s 2 and not 4 pictures) and to tie it all together in an «almost too good to be true» fashion they deliver friendly service as well!
The easiest way to get to this underground location is to go in to the Sheraton hotel and take the escalator down to the Sheraton Concourse portion of P.A.T.H.
It’s at a great location too, close to a few embassy’s so you would not have to go out of the way if you’re looking for a «on the day of» photo shoot.
So glad I discovered this location and it will hold a monopoly on my passport photo taking life!
