Rouge Beach is a nice beach but this year it is terrible. There is litter everywhere and the beach sand is covered with pieces of wood and stones. Its disgusting.

Great beach. Not too far from my area. Nice sand. Clean refreshing water. Water levels go deep quickly. Overall it was a great day. a Beach and a park. Great combo. Summer is almost over so head there while the sun is up.

I’m starting to suspect it’s a running joke to misspell«Rouge». We moved into the area recently. I love Rouge Beach and the entire stretch of the Port Union Waterfront Park – and beyond if you cross the bridge over the river into Pickering. It’s particularly spectacular in the summer. I love running and biking along it and up along the Highland Creek park. We’ll be getting a canoe and stand-up paddleboards soon! There’s lots to see and do! Rumour has it that there are city plans to extend the waterfront pathway all the way to Guildwood. first, and then to Bluffers Park beyond that. That would be spectacular!

I love love love coming here. Great place to go for a walk, jog, bike ride. It’s so pretty! The city did a good job on it. The negative is it can get a bit to crowded depending on when you go & at night kids can be drunk around here.

Those who claim Toronto lacks greenery won’t know what hit them when they see Rogue Park for the first time! It is as close to the wilderness as you’re gonna find near an urban centre. To be honest, I haven’t visited since I was little, but my memories resemble The Green Forest(remember that awesome animated series from yester-year?). I imagined myself a misunderstood heroine in a Disney film and all the creatures were my pals as we wandered through the majestic forest singing about unrequited love(which to a five year old is the same as the ice cream that fell off the cone). I also went here on school field trips and I loved learning about the plants and trees. Where am I going with this? Anyway, the park is truly amazing, but I do believe it’s easier to get to by car then TTC– but I could be wrong. It’s one of those places you need to see to appreciate. A historically preserved site that is passionately maintained. You can camp, hang out on the beach, wander through a forest — what more can you ask for?
