A second cup on U of T territory? Who is the genius that thought of opening this location? Seriously though, this location has been a life saver countless times when I’m trying to stay awake for classes or while I’m studying in the library. To top it all off it happens to be right next to the building I’m always in for most of my classes. I personally prefer Second cup to all other coffee places. The service is always faster and the coffee tastes a lot better, even if the prices are a bit steeper. Well worth the price difference though, their continental dark coffee is to die for.

This place makes the best coffee in U of T ! I’m spoiled by drinking well-made coffee so I’m an asshole about the textures and taste of the milk foams with my coffee. This place isn’t one of your usual campus café that sells coffee made by college students who don’t give a shit about the differences bt different types of coffee and pour the same jug of heated milk to make both lattes and cappuccinos. Here u can really taste the differences between your favourite type of coffee. I usually get my coffee from the owner, dark skinned man in mid 30’s~40’s(assumed that bcuz he’s always there and is older than the rest of his staffs), but the staffs here are generally well-trained. I’ve been buying coffee here for three years now! Always thankful for their delicious coffee :)

This location is inside Woodsworth College. Like every campus coffee shop, it’s busy between classes. Like every coffee shop, the service is variable. Location and the fact that it’s not Tim Hortons is the only thing that brings me to this café. Good enough for me.

True, I am biased — my department is in Sid Smith, and I get a coffee here probably every time I walk in the building. But lemme tell ya — the staff and service here are great, and can’t be taken for granted. It’s always crowded, and occasionally the line will be 20 deep(esp. between classes), but you never wait longer than 5 minutes for a coffee. And they even have two registers(and someone manning each) to speed things along — one for debit and one for cash. Through some change in the jar, my friends! They deserve it.

Hoping this is the right second cup as I randomly walked in to this one! This review is probably bias after having spent time in robarts but what a difference for studying or just meeting up. 1) the place was as quiet as the library nearby! Definitely a university second cup as it was packed and yet it was deadly hallows quiet! 2) layout is designed to make it very student friendly. There are tables and I believe it’s connected to a residence directly! 3) lighting is great and the coffee is ok… Overall it’s a cool future concept, combining the neat for a caffeine kick with the access to a great study location! Why more coffee shops In the vicinity of Toronto campuses don’t cater to this need boggles me(most coffee shops I’ve been to around u of t or York are small and not conducive to actual studying) so my hat off to this second cup for catering to the right clientele!

It’s the nicest, tiniest Second Cup in all the land! Okay, their coffee isn’t the greatest. Neither are the pastries. But it’s a savior when I get to school at 8am, walking all bleary-like into the Rotman building, moaning«coffeeeeeee» like zombies moan«braaaaaaiiiiins.» The two people that usually work there are the sweetest, and always remember how I take my wussy-pants latte. The biggest shame is that they’re not open on weekends, when my fellow Rotman-ites and I are there, burning the candle at both ends.
