This Shell has got to be the busiest and most booming gas station on the west end of Toronto. At first I just came here for the touchless hand wash stations, but after realizing the gas prices were typically 6 — 10 cents cheaper than any other places in the area, I took notice.
Their hand wash stations are usually empty and you can get in there easily without waiting. It’s the line up caused by all the people waiting for gas that is the problem! The lines typically drag on to the street for gas causing traffic jams in and out of the station.
The price for car washes is great at $ 2 to start off and the timer gives you a decent amount as well. I’ll keep coming back for cheap gas and cheap car washes. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 star is the insane line ups and traffic caused by people waiting for cheap gas!

Grrrrrrrllll, my car is so clean!
This is a pretty good spot to clean out your car if you’re a do-​it-​yourselfer. There are a lot of bays, so even on a sunny, busy day, you’ll get a spot soon enough. The wash bays have presoak, wash, brush wash, rinse, tire clean and wax. I didn’t go for the wax. They also have «engine wash», but I think my engine has a lot of electrical, so. no. I wish they had the under-​the-​car wash, but as far as I could tell, they didn’t. Price is $ 2 for like 5 minutes.
Then you park your car in the drying area. Don’t have chamois, armor-​all, or whatever? No worries, they have all that in the store. $ 5 for a small spray bottle of Armor-​all. I’m pretty sure it’s a rip off, but whatever.
After that, it’s off to the vacuum. Maybe $ 1 for 5 minutes. The suction is pretty good, but I really could have used a finer nozzle on all the nooks and crannies under the seat. All they had was a big flexible tube with no nozzle at all. A bit of advice, try to clean your car more than a year at a time. I found an apple under the passenger seat. AN APPLE. It was like a slightly thicker ziploc bag full of slime. Thankfully, it was all in one piece and not a big gooey mess.)
All in all, it’s a good place to clean your car and maybe get car envy with the young guys and their souped up ’85 Corollas.

Gas is nice and cheap, and the Air Miles is a nice bonus.
If you hate waiting in line, this is not the gas station for you. You have to enter this gas station from Dupont’s west bound lane. Don’t be an idiot and try to do it from the eastbound lane, or try to enter of Emerson. Circle around and line up like everyone else.
Also it would be great if you can try to use the furthest available spot at the pump so that the person behind you can more easily navigate the treacherous auto dance.
Things can get chaotic. We usually just drive by if it’s too busy.

I think this is consistently the cheapest gas in the west end of downtown, but since everyone knows this, the lines are quite long.

This station is a nightmare… no wonder insurance rates are higher in this part of the city. I have seen more road rage and near collisions from people waiting to save $ 2 on gas since this place discounts their pump prices. Just this week someone took up both lanes of westbound traffic by trying to turn in from the eastbound lane and not being able to go any further cuz someone cut in front. Here’s an idea… raise the price by 3 cents a litre to avoid the constant fights and lineups, and/​or install tire puncture grates on the west side so people can only drive one-​way like the signs instruct.

It gets pretty busy at times especially in the evenings coz their gas price is consistently at least 5 cents cheaper than most other gas stations in Toronto. I fill up here all the time.

I fill up here on a regular basis. Why you might ask? They are consistently 5 – 10 cents cheaper than the city average. And you get Air Miles! Aaaaaand some of the pumps have the little handle lock-​thingy (seriously, why did we ever get rid of those?!) so you don’t have to hold on while you’re filling up! What’s not to love? This place is popular, so expect to wait 10ish minutes. There’s also a handy self-​serve car wash attached if you’re so inclined.

I don’t use my car often and it’s small so I only go to this Shell once a month or less. The price is generally lower than at other locations — consider that it’s right across from the Galleria.
My main reason for going here is that I get air miles (yeah I fall for that) in addition to the savings at the pump. You can’t pay-​at-​the-​pump because this isn’t one of those fancy service stations but the guys inside are nice and the place looks clean. There’s a diy car wash too incase you’re riding dirty.
In the summer if the price of gas is really low expect it to be a total clusterf***. I’m talking cars backed out into the street, blocking traffic, loads of honking. I once made the mistake of joining this frenzy but quickly regretted it. I’d rather pay an extra .20c elsewhere, those people might be packing heat.
