Shoppe and Tailor offers many types of seamstress services. Most popular examples include basic alterations such as hemming, sleeve shortening, garment sizing, repairs and mending. Other services include custom design, formal wear, leather and fur repairs, vintage update/upcycling, private sewing lessons and design consultation. Our talented designers also love working on unusual and creative projects! If you are unsure about a project you have in mind, call or email for an estimate.
Shoppe and Tailor hosts community events based on the notion of recycling, sustainable design, and DIY learning. Past events have been clothing swaps, «crafternoons» and sewing lessons. Event dates and themes change throughout the year so be sure to follow Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for all event dates.

Fondé en 2014.
Maegan is the owner and head designer at Shoppe and Tailor. Sewing and designing since the age of 15, Maegan has worked as an Independant tailor for most of her life. After graduating from the Fashion Design Program at Ryerson University, she found herself working full time designing and altering garments for various clients and vintage shops in Toronto. What started in a tiny studio work space has grown into a large studio shop in a popular and buzzing neighbourhood in the city.

Maegan is a young woman, a graduate of Ryerson’s Fashion Design Program and loves clothes! She specializes in creative and bizarre sewing projects because she loves a good challenge. Originally destined to be a «designer», Maegan discovered out of chance, how much she enjoys the simple alteration and tailoring of garments. There are always new dresses and jackets to see every day, which leaves no day ever the same. As a side project, Maegan continues to offer custom design services, has a small leather bag line available in the shop and throws community craft events which fuel her creative heart.
