Best lattes and flat whites in Toronto, hands down, served in a clean, modern, minimalist space. Truly lovely, attentive, personable staff, too. Cashless checkout means no handling of grubby bills or coins, no time-​consuming making of change. And unless you’re dying to do it you also don’t have to deal with BPA-​infused thermal receipts, either. Just tap your card and go – voila, perfect. The staff even tends to remember what you drink and will start making it before you even open your mouth to order. Oh, and they have a minimalist array of DELICIOUS croissants – usually plain, almond, or chocolate. Free wifi. Not a ton of seating, but what seating there is is very comfortable. Great views of Yorkville out the glass walls. LOVE IT. My absolute favorite coffee place!

I highly recommend this place! I purchased a latte with almond milk, it was amazing! The staff was friendly. It is also important to note that they only take debit or credit, no cash at all. However, I do not recommend to come with a large group, since there very very reduced seating. It seems like a place to either get a quick flavourful coffee, or to come on your own to seat down with your laptop or a book.

Good coffee, reliable internet and somewhat silent. Great place to work from.
You also get good service and a nice view.

It’s a lovely place! TBH, I was drawn by their cute coffee cups, but not sorry at all that I decided to try it out! I got myself a flat white and my friend, an Americano. The flat white was well-​made.
The space is quite small, and there are some seats by the window and two areas with small coffee tables, where two or three people can chat (at each one). I’d def come back on my own too, it’s a nice place to be typing away at your laptop.

I don’t get why people don’t want to walk 5 steps extra to this café and would rather enter Starbucks. Joking, I am not judging people’s choices :)
I’ve been here twice (there will be more visits in the future) because I was around this area. I’ve tried their Flat White and Cappuccino. I love their Flat White, hands down 10x better than Starbucks. I found their cappuccino to be okay, nothing spectacular. I will drop by Sorry when I’m in the hood again. Stay tuned!

I stopped by Sorry coffee bar yesterday. It is a great addition to the Yorkville area. I had an Americano and I would have to say it’s probably one of the best I have had in the city.
The café itself is set up very nicely with a granite bar and a small seating area with unique stools and tables.
I highly recommend going if you are in the neighbourhood!
Tip: They only accept debit or credit.

This place was pretty small and cute and very aesthetically/​visually pleasing. It’s one of those places you go for the décor and not so much for the coffee. I ordered a latte that was extremely bitter, one of those acquired tastes I guess.

My life course was forever changed on that blissful Wednesday morning when I happened upon Sorry Coffee Co.
The Americano was quite possibly the best coffee that I have ever come into contact with. I dressed my Americano with 2 packets of brown sugar granules and a splash of milk.
Additionally, I purchased a chocolate croissant, but it was mediocre.
–1 star because this place is tiny w/​very limited seating.

A cute little coffee shop located inside the kit and ace store. It’s a small place with limited seating but it was quite full today since it’s the weekend.
I ordered a flat white and thought it was good. Very smooth with a hint of bitterness, just how I like it. Their menu is small and they also offer a few pastries.

What a great find! The café is sleek, clean and the barista was very friendly. I got a latte, and sat by the window to enjoy my drink. Of course free WiFi doesn’t hurt, so I can imagine this being a great study spot. The counter seats overlook the Yorkville area, which is rather peaceful and pleasant to look at. The drink itself was okay. Nothing special, but I did like the attention to latte pattern to compliment the artsy vibe of the cup designs. I will definitely be back!

Strolling along in the Yorkville area I came across this store and with a name like this how could I not step inside for a shot of something warm on a cold day. Small with a few bar stools facing the window and a table or two this place screams minimalism with it’s sleek white stools and dark woods (or perhaps it softly whispers it).
There is a small menu with your typical coffees, lattes and teas. I decided for some reason to try the Espresso. Not a fan personally as it tasted burnt and it was nearly $ 5!
The space is chic, the staff is polite and and the name is cool but I doubt this will be my chill coffee hangout place anytime soon.

This place is another addition to the mundane cafes that line this area of Yorkville. However with 7 grams nearby I would suggest one take a longer walk and just get your caffeine fix there instead. Other than the sorry looking croissants there (almond and chocolate) there was hardly anything else to offer. The almond croissant was not good.
In addition the seating area is cumbersome and there is barely any room to move around once this place gets busy. The offer only take out cups so I would suggest grab and go if you must. Here is the verdict on the cappuccino
Espresso: Medium
Crema’: Decent
Milk: Frothed very well with nice microfoam.
Latte Art: Good
While the presentation is good I just didn’t like the bean variety they chose and if it wasn’t for the need of the caffiene fix I wouldn’t have finished the drink.

I’m sorry. I love your name. I love your cups. I love your chalkboard sign. I was excited to come in and become one of your newest customers. I live in your ‘hood. I walk by you regularly.
I’m sorry I ordered the hot chocolate. You see, it OFFENDED me. Now, I know it sounds crazy to be offended by hot chocolate. Believe me, I myself did not know such a thing was possible until tonight.
I’m sorry. I love hot chocolate! So much! I order hot chocolates all the time, it’s my favourite hot drink of choice. I didn’t know where yours would rank but I figured, hey, it’s hot chocolate. It will be delicious no matter what. Even if it’s not the best I’ve ever had. And this place seems so cool, it just seems like the kind of place to have delicious hot chocolate.

I’m sorry. My first sip of hot chocolate burned as it went down my throat. What an odd feeling. Not like it was too hot, but like it was spicy. I took another sip. Ouch. Like experiencing a raw sore throat again. Then it hit me, it dawned on me exactly what was going on. Oh. My. Goodness. This wasn’t hot chocolate. This was hot chocolate with a little kick. Maybe cayenne. Maybe chili pepper is your secret ingredient.
I’m sorry, I get it. Mexican hot chocolate is pretty trendy and people love it. Some people. I’m sure I read that somewhere. And it is kind of ‘cool’ to add something kind of interesting to your hot chocolate. And if that was my thing, well you would have surprised and delighted me as a smile would spread across my face wondering «Hey– is this burning feeling some SPICE in my hot chocolate?»
But no. No. NO. You see, I personally HATE. Yes, hate– ugh really really dislike– chocolate combined with hot spice. I would never order it. It actually turns my stomach. I don’t get it. Sure, other people may love it. But not me. So, when I order ‘hot chocolate’ I really mean that’s what I would like– some hot chocolate. You can play around with the milk, the chocolate, the foam, the whipped cream, the cocoa topping– but please, do not put spice in my hot chocolate and keep it a secret from me!
I’m sorry– it’s too big of a secret. Too big of a surprise. How many customers are ordering a hot chocolate from you and finding it to be ‘off’ or unsure of that burning feeling in their throat? I don’t know, I’m sure you don’t know. But there is one we now both know about– me!
I would like to humbly propose to you that you add a regular hot chocolate option OR at least indicate somehow that you’re making Mexican Hot Chocolate. I never would have ordered it or at least would have asked the barista if they would be able to make me a spice-​less version. It was kind of expensive but I had hoped it would be worth it. And a lot of people order hot chocolate for kids– shouldn’t they be able to tell somehow that it’s spicy and be able to decide properly if that will appeal to their kids?
I’m sorry also to say that my husband, a big Flat White fan, said that he wasn’t impressed with his flat white. So, this isn’t a place we’ll be returning to.

I found Sorry Café via the baristas from Boxcar Social. On the last day that their pop-​up café was open on Bloor, I asked them what good coffee alternatives exist in the area. They immediately called out Sorry Café as being a hidden gem in the area. It is rather hidden from the Bloor side of the fashion district, but for those coming out of the Bay Underground station, it’s a quick stop on your way into the financial district.
And, regardless of the name and hidden reference to the Canadian penchant for saying «sorry» to everything, Sorry Café actually comes from the UK. It’s a part of the Kit and Ace chain and when Kit and Ace came to Canada, so did the coffee shop.
When I walked into the café for the first time, I challenged the barista to make an almond latte that didn’t taste bitter, burnt or sour. He took on the challenge and made the best almond milk latte I’ve ever had. The other thing that I really like about this café is they get different artists to design their cups periodically. So far, I’ve seen two different designs.
One thing to note: they don’t open until 10am, so they’re not the first coffee of the day.

Stumbled upon this cute little café when I was in the area. It is a small place that sits about 15 people max. There are 6 seats with table space (by the window) and the rest is just a few stools and a bench that you can uncomfortably sit on for a short amount of time. So you know this café is probably not the best place to get your work done on your laptop. Rather, I’d say it’s a space for a quick rest and grab-​and-​go.
I love its sleek and simple black-​and-​white theme as well as the witty sorriness. The word «sorry» is written everywhere that it kinda makes you feel like someone actually did something terribly wrong haha.
They have a very simple menu (with limited pastry options) and don’t take cash. All in all, I enjoyed my americano and my time here. I will return.

After seeing the advertisement for this place, I was mildly interested in checking it out, mostly because their shop name sounded kind of funny. Sorry Coffee is behind Bloor St W and is decorated in a chic manner. The modern and minimalistic design of the store brings about hipster vibes, and the geometric hanging lights match the atmosphere well.
When I went to Sorry Coffee, all the chairs were occupied with chatting adults and busy students. The café’s cash register wasn’t working (uh-​oh!) so they gave us our drinks for free! What a time to be alive. The flat white was very smooth and had a bitter kick to it; the drink was, however, rather lukewarm. The iced-​latte was pretty good– you can clearly tell the staff put effort into their drinks.
Sorry Coffee has a great view of the small garden in Yorkville and calming enough for people to work in. It’s a little pricey so I won’t come very often, but I do like it here.

Sorry Coffee Co is an oasis in the coffee desert that is Yorkville. Everything about this café is perfection — from its sleek and clean-​line aesthetic to the people behind the counter (watching them at work is like watching a magnificently choreographed dance) to the coffee itself (of course). Oh, the coffee. My go-​to drink (an almond milk latte) is always superbly rich, silky smooth, and well-​balanced with a great chocolate-​y finish, which I just adore.
Go. Now. You won’t be sorry.

Dylan Wu is a beautiful majestic creature and watching him make my coffee every week is like watching a master artist create the greatest painting in the world. There is Methodism and yet a graceful meditative movement to his craft and when you taste the coffee he makes, its like a sweet sigh of joy and release — I drink his coffee slowly and it is literally one of the highlights of my week.
I dream about Sorry Coffee Co. Sunday-​Wednesday, and when the end of the week rolls around, there is conviction in my step because the end of the week means Sorry Coffee and a croissant. I can’t actually drink coffee — it does this weird thing to my skin, but reservations are thrown to the wind because god damn…
Sorry Coffee is the real deal. Dylan is the real deal. He knows his shit, when I ordered a pour over, he asked me if I preferred their Kenyan or Ethiopian (I think it was Ethiopian, I was enthralled/​distracted by Dylan’s aura & also tired and spacey) roast, knowing little about what the difference was between the two was, I asked for the profiles of each and he launched into this descriptive narrative, weaving a story about the personality of each — He summarized by saying Kenyan was earthy and punchier and Ethopian as the smoother more tea like option — needing a proverbial kick in the ass to get my brain moving, I went with the Kenyan. The pour over was amazing and yea, I am always tickled fucking pink after a visit to Sorry Coffee, their Americano is also astounding and a favorite of mine. The croissants pair perfectly with their roasts and its just a soft and sweet «Aahhhh» when that dark chocolatey nectar hits your throat.
Also a great spot if you like looking at REAL SILKY AND FULL MAN BUNS. If you’re lucky, you can get 2 man buns for the price of one. Seriously, best man-​buns in the city right here.

The interior and exterior of slick enough to fit right into the Yorkville scene. Latest addition to the café in Yorkville, it connects to Kit and Ace boutique and you can find the entrance on the back.
The flat white coffee was amazing and the service was pronto. Only downside is, they only accept debit and card. If you have cash only, then it’s not a place to go to.

Sorry Coffee Co. is a perfect little coffee shop located at the back of the new Kit and Ace store on Bloor street (where former Tony & Guy hair salon used to be). With lots of coffee options in the area (think Starbucks, Nespresso, Zaza), I feel this was the missing piece: a cool, edgy spot to grab an excellent crafted latte. How hipster for Yorkville. *gasp* Nowhere is safe.
Dylan Wu, the shop director for Sorry Coffee was quoted as saying (in an article I won’t bother citing because that was so undergrad), «the atmosphere forms your opinion of the coffee.» Indeed, the sleek and modern yet boutique atmosphere of this place – not to mention the beautiful custom copper La Marzocco machines – all add to ones experience. The quality of the coffee speaks for itself of course. My latte was perfectly smooth and just as good as any highly regarded coffee spot in the city.
The limited seating arrangements are also perfect for eavesdropping, which is how I found out that the coffee beans come form local distributor, as well as the graphic designer/​artist for their cups.
Sorry, I’m not sorry I love it.
