Founded in 1978 the Sutherland-​Chan School & Teaching Clinic is seen by many as the best in massage therapy education. Our graduates are often preferentially hired by employers. Our two year massage therapy diploma program leads to the government entry to practie exams where our results have always been in the top tier. In addition we have a student clinic that offers a discounted student massage to the public.

Historique

Fondé en 1978.

Sutherland-​Chan School &Teaching Clinic opened in January, 1978 with a class of 14 students. The school’s first location was 402 Spadina Avenue. The initial program ran for 8 months full time (1040hours). The school moved to 732 Spadina Ave. and stayed there for 11 years. By the end of the decade greater space needs led to a move in 1990 to our current location at 330 Dupont St. Today Sutherland-​Chan School & Teaching Clinic remains dedicated to the goals and principles Grace and Christine first discussed more than 35 years ago. We believe strongly in massage therapy as a health care profession and have experienced tremendous satisfaction from the increasing credibility and public awareness it has achieved. We are extremely proud of our graduates, who are our finest advocates, many of whom have taken up positions of leadership in our profession and in their communities.
