my go-to for sneakers. Well-priced, quirky selection.

Called to check if they had a World Cup jersey in stock. I was told they would check and then I was put on hold by a girl who sounded helpful. A different girl picked up and asked me what I was looking for. I explained to her what I was looking for. She responded with«Can’t you just come in and check for yourself?» AREYOUKIDDINGME?! That place will never get my business again.

BOTTOMLINE: It’s basically the Winners of sneaker stores. (3.5STARS) If you’re in a need of any regular sports footwear/sneakers, I’d check here first because of their great prices. They also have a section of designer sneaks, but if you want the latest designs, you’re better off hitting up Get Outside or Livestock. The space is huge and their vast selection is lined along their 3 walls, floor to ceiling, and now, even a second floor! Case in point, this was the only store in downtown that had stocked(Puma) motor racing shoes, and at over 50% off compared to their online store and their now defunct Puma store at Bloor and Avenue. But as with any outlet store, you may run into problems finding your size, but that’s to be expected and not a knock against the store.

SVP Sports is a discount sports footwear store. BlogTO has voted it the best sneaker shop in the city and they could be right. The store is spacious and well lit with plenty of friendly and helpful staff. They have all the latest in new fashionable models as well the mundane Birkenstocks and a decent selection of Vans. I was happy they had Nike summer sandals for $ 19.99. Great store.

Good shoes and great prices but they’re always out of common sizes. Guess that’s to be expected when they’ve got the best prices, but super inconvenient. Great store though
