Historique

Fondé en 1996.

Tequila Bookworm has a long and ever changing history on the Queen West scene. Originally started at 715 Queen West as a bookstore/coffee shop, it grew out of it’s digs there and moved to 490 Queen West in 1999 where it called itself home for seven years. In 2006 it moved ten doors west to its present location at 512 Queen West. For three years it was a mix of old and new, keeping the books and magazines, waffles and milkshakes and adding more beer and liquor.

In 2010 new management took over and moved in a different direction becoming a bar at night focusing on the local Ontario craft booze scene. Now carrying 12 taps of Ontario craft beer, 20 Ontario ciders and 10 Ontario wines plus a full kitchen that is open til 2AM — it has started a new and exciting chapter in its storied history.
