Description

Spécialités

We specialize in perfectly-poured Ontario craft pints, delicious pub fare, and friendly service.

Historique

Fondé en 1982.

The Grover is family-owned and family-run! We took over this historic community pub in May 2014, and we’ve been having a blast ever since! It is currently run by the dynamic duo of Jason and Sara– world travellers with a lot of energy and a lot of love for local Ontario craft beer!

We focus on the simple things: personal connections, properly poured Ontario craft beer, and fantastic food.We are proud to have the friendliest, most attentive, knowledgeable, and all around BEST staff in the Beach!

What is «The Grover»?

Are you a «416» or «647»? Maybe even a «905»?

If you’re under 50, you might not realize that before the area code, the GTA’s original telephone exchanges were manual; each area had an exchange name and a block of four-digit numbers.

The «GRover exchange» (corresponding with numbers «47») at Kingston Road and Main Street (that’s us!!) was the very first automatic dial exchange– in all of Canada! That meant that folks in 1924 had to learn how to dial!
