Visited this pub today, and was very disappointed with state of the place. Seats are stained most tables were dirty. First beer was flat and food took way too long. Overall just a run down pub. Prices are too high. NACHOS $ 14 add meat add $ 3.50! Crazy!!!

Went here for dinner with a friend and looked like an older crowd here but decided to try this restaurant. Greeted by our server Rhonda and we were given menus. She was friendly and gave us time to look at the menu. Ordered our drinks and food shortly after, ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich and Lobster Grilled Cheese. The Pulled Pork sandwich was OK but nothing to rave about, the bread was soggy as well. Lobster Grilled Cheese was disgusting, bread was hard, ingredients didn’t taste fresh and cheese looked like it was not melted as it should be. It was a disappointment but what was equally disappointing was the service. After receiving the food(this took over 20 minutes) our server Rhonda never came back to check up on us for over 20 minutes. She passed by our table numerous times and checked on her other tables except for ours. It wasn’t very busy so she should have paid more attention to her customers. Finally we got her attention and informed her of the disappointing grilled cheese. She said she would show her manager and when she came back she gave us the bills. I was charged for the grilled cheese even though I barely ate it. I requested to speak with the manager and asked her if our server explained the situation and the manager looked confused. Clearly our server did not speak with the manager, so she lied to a customer and expected to get away with it. The manager immediately resolved the situation and took the item off the bill. I was glad the manager was very efficient at her job but extremely appalled at the servers lack of professionalism and overall service. I would never recommend going here because it lacks in quality of service AND food. There is nothing special about this place nor would I waste my time here.

If this could have zero stars, it would. This is by far the worst«restaurant» service I’ve ever received. They played music so loud I literally could not hear my girlfriend across the table. Two tables left. We asked THREE times for the music to be turned down. It somehow got louder. Finally, after we had been served our meals and waited 15 minutes, they turned it off. When we asked to speak to the manager, our waitress brought the bills. We asked again, and when she got there, she basically said she had comp’d us by turning it off. We explained she had ruined our meals(we asked for it to go) and she said that was basically too bad. We told her that if they didn’t at least try to do something for us, we would never come back again. They did nothing. DONOTGOHERE, worst wait staff and manager I’ve ever encountered. I’ve never written a Unilocal review but this was so bad I actually had to. Don’t do it.

So my BF’s softball team(The Beauties) got sponsored with this bar. Came here once before for an app and let me tell you, those fries with curry sauce are ridiculoualy good AND alleviating on a cold, rainy day. The pub club is delicious nonetheless, moist turkey! The pulled pork hit the spot. So they gave me currysauce with my fries with it. With four Creemores, $ 62 with tip… still playing pool… been here 3 hours.

Terrible service. Had the nachos which were at best OK but took about 25 min to come out. How long does it take to make nachos? Server never checked in with us and when we asked for the bill we waited 10 min then had to remind him that we wanted our bill. We didn’t give him any tip and when we saw we didn’t, gave us some attitude.

I’ve been to the Moose and Barrel twice. The first time was with a group of people to watch a Leaf game. The atmosphere was okay, tvs to watch the game on and karokee and pool tables were busy but open after the game. Some friends ordered food, it took a very long time to get and I believe the server forgot their forks and napkins. The food was mediocre at best, typical bar food with no real surprises. The second visit was just and friend and myself arriving post-Leaf game on a friday night looking to have a few beverages before heading home(10:30pm). As soon as we walked in there was two empty spots at the bar so we sat down. There was one bartender and she didn’t acknowledge us for 5 minutes, WEWERERIGHTINFRONTOFHER! She seems more preooccupied with a young lady who had too much to drink and was in the washroom presumably being sick. Once we were acknowledged we waited and waited as the bartender and server continued to make drinks for others, while walking right by us. We finally walked out, after waiting 12 minutes or so for 2 bottles of beer in a less than busy pub. Definately will not be returning in the future as the service was horrible, alienating and unprofessional.

The food was pretty good, i would say above average pub fare. I had the Beef dip sandwich with fries. The sandwich was good, the fries were ok but definitely needed salt. My friend had the cheese and bacon burger. She said it was a great homemade patty but it was huge, she didn’t even get close to finishing it, which could be great for those who are super hungry. We had the deep fried mars bar for dessert. It was overly battered in my opinion, but still yummy but VERY rich. I highly recommend getting one to share with two people otherwise its a bit much. So the reason this is 3 stars instead of 4 is the service. It was pretty slow and we were never checked on other then to bring us found, we practically had to standup and wave at the server to order dessert. My water glass was always empty and I only got one refill after asking twice. My friend was never offered a refill on her pop, which came in a tiny glass and cost $ 1.99. If I had to choose to sit down somewhere in this plaza I would choose this place over East Side Marios so maybe it deserves 3.5 stars, but that’s not an option.

Best service and biggest Julienne salad I’ve ever seen. Do check it out!

Went here for some lunch since it seemed to be one of the few places that may have a good selection of veggies in the plaza. I got the Julienne Salad sans onions. It came with a bunch of veggies, ham, egg and turkey. The ham by itself is excessively salty, but combined with the rest of the plate, it blends quite well. I did take a taste of the butter chicken, too spicy, I still prefer India Sweets. Considering it is a pub fare, the price we paid was fair. Though, I am sure I can get cheaper food elsewhere. The atmosphere during lunch is pretty much serene and the service was good.
