Had the sliders. It was delicious and the portion is plenty for $ 14 dollars. The drinks were pretty good as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone :)

One of the things Parkdale is known for is variety and this definitely does add to the mix of interesting establishments. In no way, shape or form does this compete with some of the incredible food and drinking restaurants or pubs in the area. So why go here? Because it simply provides a kitschy anomaly that no other spot provides. It provides a transportation to an era and albeit commercial aspect of a tiki Hawaiian like world. It provides fun — and if you are okay to just let go and enjoy the atmosphere, you might just have a hell of a good time! The only weakness for me is the food. I love food regardless of the theme of any place. If they did this aspect much, much better they definitely would have hit one more star. The sweet potato fries were soggy. That’s a bummer for any kind of fry. The huli huli chicken wings were okay but it did fall short of the depth of flavour this popular Hawaiian dish should have. The crab Rangoon was also okay but suffered a similar fate as the fries. For a fried item it was also soft. It was only slightly stronger in consistency than the filling which for me is unfortunate because it would have been a world better.

I ABSOLUTELYLOVETHISPLACE. It was definitely not what I had expected but everything was great! Service was quick, drinks and food were innovative & tasty! I would definitely recommend this place if you would like to try something new. Also, the bartenders put A LOT of work into their drinks, and that is the best part.

I walked through a dimly lit doorway in –13 degree weather to a fully-fledged tiki bar, complete with novelty drinks, awesome music, and a really fun vibe. This place was a great escape after a long work day and definitely one to remember. The drinks are all fantastic and not too overpowering. Bring your buds! TLDR: Order the Tiki Puka Puka. You won’t regret it.

A great place to have drinks with friends. Creative drinks presentation is amazing. Not a good place for food. Eat before you come here. Corndogs and pizza rolls… Very small portions. Service is alright.

Everything in this bar screams cheap novelty, especially the light up plastic ice cubes in the drinks. Very bad first impression but an interesting place. The hostess was extremely rude. She told us it would be a half hour wait so we left our name and number and walked around outside. After 30 minutes we went back and we asked if a table would be ready soon. She said in rude manner«well did I call you?» So we went back outside and walked around more. After 40 minutes, she finally calls us and says if we aren’t there in 5 minutes, she’s giving away our table. We were across the street so we went back and there wasn’t even a table available. We waited a few minutes more inside and we were finally seated. We order the volcano bowl which was interesting and pretty cool. And we ordered the platter of all the starters. Everything was heavily fried and heavily salted. One prominent ingredient was oil, the second was spam. I would not go there hungry. The feel of this place was like an adult rainforest café. The food was not good at all and the drinks were just a novelty. It’s a fun place to go if you just want to have drinks in a cool atmosphere however the service needs a lot of work. But do not expect much from this place.

The name is pretty accurate. It’s a shameful tiki room. Guys in hawaiian shirts pouring you over the top cocktails. Overall, its got a pretty cool vibe, but does get a little kitschy at times. Tried a few drinks and they were all pretty good. Spoiler alert: The mystery bowl has fire, flashing red led ice cubes and comes in a giant bowl. Its a decent, but not particularly strong drink and comes with lots of ice. It fits in with the theme. They hit a gong and all the workers yell out«MYSTERY…BOWL» The periods represent the awkward, and unsettling pause they take between t‘he two wards. When you order the volcano bowl, they play volcano sound effects and someone saying volcano bowl in autotune. This is the ktischy part. The food is okay, nothing special. Got all the snacks(rice ball, sweet potato fries, pogo sticks, fried broccoli, and chicken wings), the quinoa dish and the pizza rolls. The wings and fried broccoli were really good. Everything else was okay.

Second time there. It’s basic theme-kitschy. It feels like it would better suit a tourist district(and likely last longer there) as the little touches that allow it to transcend a fad seem forgotten. This is their second location — the first is in Vancouver — and perhaps it has all the mini-chain workings to it that flatten out the attention to detail and can deaden a place. The drinks: fun offerings but very little info on what is in each one. They list how many ounces of alcohol are in them but don’t list anything but one or two ingredients. ‘And more’ is their stock answer. Tbh I want to know what’s in my cocktail. Avoid the Mystery Bowl: sure it’s fun with the swizzle straws and blinking plastic ice cubes, but the mystery is if there is any alcohol in it(unlike the other cocktails, they don’t list how many ounces are in it). Tastes closer to junior high punch. Try it once to get it out of your system. The prawns were done well and the kitchen was thoughtful in giving us 3 instead of 2 as we had three people at our table. However it took ten minutes for the waitress to clear the plate — and they were not busy. Soggy fries. Bring a sweater. It may look like an all-inclusive island hotel’s bar inside but it’s cold, which kind of ruins the island-oasis thing right away.

The food, drinks and vibe is amazing here. From the moment you walk in the door you feel transported to a tropical wonderland. Order up your 1st mystery bowl and the gong rings your night has truly began. Great food, tastes very fresh and authentic. Drinks are made well, flavorful without being overpowering. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
