Top It Yogurt Café

…i’m quite the menchie’s fan but this place i’d have to say has much better yogurt than menchie’s! the yogurt is thicker, flavors aren’t so artificial.
i got:
mango, excellent, tasted like real mango juice.
raspberry, good.
coconut, excellent.
original tart, excellent.
I would have given a 5star if it weren’t such a cramped, small place, and it’d be nice if they had outdoor seating. i would definitely come back again the next time i’m in the area.

This is a self serve frozen yoghurt café with quite a number of flavours to choose from. The flavours are arranged in pairs with each pair having 3 serving pumps underneath, one for each flavour and the middle one for a swirl of both flavours if you want to marry the two. They also have a pair of sorbets– mango sorbet and I think raspberry.
The frozen yoghurts are amazing and come in red velvet, coconut, banana, vanilla, original tart, strawberry, keylime, etc etc etc. They are very fresh, delicately flavoured and not too sweet. Just the way I like it. They are also not cloaked in vibrant colours which makes me think they are either all natural or not as unnatural as the average frozen treat. My fave flavours are strawberry, original tart and vanilla. Neither 3 are paired together so I have to hop from one section to another but I love every moment of it.
The sorbets in contrast, are very rich in flavour and color. The mango sorbet is delish! As the name suggests, they have a variety of top ups for your frozen treats: fruits, candy, syrup and a variety of colorful little balls that I suspect to be tapioca (like in bubble tea) but I am not sure. If you enjoy frozen yoghurt, I would certainly recommend this place.

*Update: I’m not sure if it’s the change in season, but I was unhappily smacked across the face today with the realization that the toppings are stale and the service is cold. On top of which, the froyo here manages to be much more calorie dense than others I’ve seen. All quite unfortunate, since the froyo here is very (!!) tasty.
I will be back if I crave froyo in Y&E area… but with slightly less anticipation.

The staff here greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and were very friendly and helpful.
Right away I was asked if I had been there before and she offered to show me the ropes. When I mentioned that I was craving a cone (there were only bowls as far as the eye could see) she said ‘no problem’ and stepped in the back room and returned with a waffle cone (bonus points) and filled it for me.
The yogurt was delicious, I tried the strawberry and will go back soon to try the other flavors. I’m very intrigued by the ‘tart’ flavor, but I think I’ll try it in a bowl.
My cone came in at just under $ 4.00, they don’t weigh them, it’s just a standard price.

This tiny fro yo shop is a nice self serve ($.55 per oz) spot with a couple tables outside to enjoy a frozen treat on a warm sunny day.
We were greeted with a friendly smile as soon as we walked in the door, and taken for a quick tour. There were some interesting flavours, cotton candy was awesome by the way, and some tried and true, good ol’ chocolate.
We were just after some quick and sweet, so no toppings this trip, but with fresh fruit options as well as the usual suspects like sprinkles and such, there is a bit more variety here than some other places.
it happened to be a gorgeous day when we came, so we were able to sit at the table outside and enjoy our tasty temptation, which make all the more special.

Top It has me addicted to their frozen yogurt! This place is small, narrow and has a fun childish vibe to it. They offer frozen yogurt, toppings, coffee, waffles etc. The staff here is warm and friendly which makes it a nice comfortable place.
The yogurt–
They have 12 different flavors. From what I can remember, they had: Mango, raspberry, cotton candy, key lime, cappuccino, coffee toffee, chocolate, french vanilla, coconut, banana, strawberry, and tart (what the heck is tart flavor?).
Since this is a self-​serve place, you grab a cup and dispense whatever flavor and amount you want. So far, I’ve tried the french vanilla, coconut and mango. The vanilla was okay; the coconut had a nice creamy taste and the mango busted with tarty mango flavor. The frozen yogurt is light, delicious and smooth.
The toppings–
They have a variety of toppings that include: fruits, nuts, candy, chocolate, cereal, mochi, sauces etc.
I enjoyed having fruits (strawberries and blackberries) thrown onto my yogurt for a healthier kick. I’m not a big fan of the topping section as some of the lids for the toppings were a bit messy and sticky which made it feel unsanitary.
When you’ve created your own frozen yogurt masterpiece, your cup is weighed and charged accordingly to the amount you have. The cost is 55c/​oz, which is a bit pricey but worth it. My hubby and I filled up our cups and it cost us around $ 18.
Overall, Top It Yogurt Café is a great fun place to indulge in some delicious frozen yogurt; it’s a bit pricey but definitely a place I’ll run to treat myself during the summer.
