What can I say, the toys here are generally 2−3X the price of toys from Walmart, Toys R Us and even local comic shops like Silver Snail. They price their stock very high and it’s understandable due to the location and lack of other toy stores in the area. However, their prices are a bit too high and exploit current trends and parents in need of the next big toy. A good example would be lego minifigures, which are $ 3.99 at the lego store and $ 9.99 at toys, toys, toys. Other examples would be $ 3 for hot wheels and $ 20 for basic ninja turtles. On a plus side however, they do sometimes have warehouse sales. I managed to get a few toys well below retail from these closeouts. Overall I only come here in a pinch or to check out new clearances.

Normally I would think that floor-to-ceiling toys would be an amazing spectacle to look at. But after seeing it, it’s really just terrifying. Walking through this store, with it’s narrow aisles, makes me feel like if I made one wrong move I’d be buried alive in Lego. They have a good selection here and the prices seem reasonable. It’s hard to determine reasonable though, as everything is constantly on sale. There’s red price tags on so many items that you wonder if the products were ever sold at their original price.

Now, I used to experience incredible claustrophia in this store but i popped by recently when I was in the Eaton centre and it seems to have undergone a bit of a redesign. It was a lot tidier and less cramped. It has a huge selction of barbies, leap frog products, Dora, a craft and games section, and a stock of baby toys. Most of the stuff is good but definitely overpriced. Even the sale stuff. Also, there is this random section of Canda souvenirs at the front of the store. Not sure exactly what they are going for here… Anyways, it is good in a pinch… if you are looking for regular toys downtown.
