Trapped!

I’ve done all three rooms at this place: Diamond Heist, Zombie Apocalypse and Claustrophobia at Trapped! and had am excellent time. Staff here are wonderful and very helpful. My favourite room is Diamond Heist: great, logical clues and super fun!
Here are my comments for all three rooms:
Realistic Scenario? YES! Players are shown videos of the scenario prior to the game. These videos are well produced and really help to set the mood and tone.
Layout/​Design of the Rooms: A lot was invested into making the rooms realistic and believable. I felt immersed in each scenario. Diamond Heist and Claustrophobia were VERY WELL DONE in terms of design.
Helpfulness of Staff: Super is all i can say.
Try this place out. It is worth the money and you and your group are kept entertained throughout each mission.

Went to a few escape rooms before going to trapped, and this one was definitely a good one! I started off doing one of their rooms — Pandemic, which is comparable to some of the other escape rooms out there.
Had such a good time that I stayed for round 2 and did the Claustrophobia room — did not expect this! Claustrophobia required team work and was actually kind of scary — picture this being a saw-​esque kind of scenario. Very well done and unique room.
More recently, trapped opened their diamond heist room, and my friends couldn’t wait to organize our group to try that room after our good experience in the other 2 rooms. Our favourite element of the diamond heist room: LASERS! A different kind of challenging, but just as much of a good time as the other rooms.
Very convenient location, good prices (discount for back to back rooms), very personable service, a popcorn machine! The 3 rooms are different enough from each other that it’s a different experience every time.
I have recommended this to friends and they’ve all enjoyed their time a trapped, so I’m going to say it’s safe to recommend Trapped to strangers as well.

I’ve been to several escape rooms in the city and this is the first one I did not enjoy. We did the zombie room. It was small and there were very few puzzles. The puzzles did not make sense contextually or create any kind of narrative. We escaped in time but I didn’t feel like I got anything out of it, and felt it was a waste. I would not come here again or recommend it.

Finally made my way to an escape room, all in the name of Halloween bonding with my co-​workers! There were about twenty of us and we were divided among the three rooms — I was in the Pandemic room which was very fun and challenging! It was kind of numbers-​heavy so I probably would’ve enjoyed the other rooms more, but there were definitely lots of surprises and twists.
You’re allowed three hints, and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. They also have fresh popcorn outside! I wish they had those fun winner/​loser signs (you know, «I’m with stupid», «We escaped!» etc.) to take group photos with at the end… because, pics or it didn’t happen, right?
Can’t wait to do this again!

It’s been three days and I’m still inside. Nobody has come to help me. There’s popcorn but I’m deathly allergic but I’m at the point where that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Overall, the experience is good I guess; I just wish I wasn’t still here. I have a family to take care of. What are they going to do without me?

The atmosphere for this escape room is quite nice. I’ve been to three other escape rooms prior to this one and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The only downsides were the room was quite easy (Pandemic). It may have been because asked for a hint and it literally told us how to complete everything. Nevertheless, enjoyable experience. Would definitely try another room.

Very Fun and challenging! This was my first time ever trying an escape room so i was very eager to try this one out. We tried the pandemic room, it was a lot of science, but it still ended up being very entertaining. The staff were very nice and friendly also! Will for sure try the other rooms and other escape facilities in the future

At this point I would consider myself an escape room veteran…
I’ve did a couple back in the States, and fell in love with escape rooms, and have now decided to try them everywhere I go. We’ll call it a hobby. Cool? Cool. OKAY. SO…
For mine, and my boyfriend’s 1 year anniversary, we decided to try out Trapped’s «Pandemic» room, and their «Diamond Heist» room back to back.

We started with Pandemic… being just the two of us, it was pretty quiet which, I think, made it a lot easier to focus, communicate, and navigate through the room. We were pretty speedy getting through this one, for only being the two of us, and I believe we would have made record time, if it wasn’t for us missing one of the main aides in cracking one of the clues (it was well hidden. :P). Therefore, we got a little delayed. But, BUT… we ESCAPED anyway. It was definitely a «down to the wire» experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Round 2 was The Diamond Heist… our consensus was that we preferred Pandemic, but this room was still worth doing. Very fun. This one tested our relationship a little bit more, as we may or may not have snapped at each other a couple of times, as we were racing to beat the clock. BOTH rooms were nicely decorated, and the props were in good shape, quality-​wise. «Diamond Heist» was their original room, I believe, so I have grace for them on some more wear and tear being visible in this room.
We enjoyed both the rooms so much, that we knew we had to bring a bigger group back to tackle the «Claustrophobia» room. AND SO WE DID.
Tonight, we took 4 of our friends and escaped literally at THE LAST SECOND. This room is DEFINITELY a teamwork oriented room. Communication is key.
I will say, some of the members in our team could have benefited from a little more warning that this room really does play out it’s name. You will be in a smaller space for a chunk of time, depending on the pace your team works at. This was a very different style of escape room than I had ever experienced before, but I didn’t hate it. It was still fun.
I would actually rank these rooms from best, to less than the best (as all of them were very enjoyable) in the order we did them! So, «Pandemic» being our favorite, «Diamond Heist» a close second, and «Claustrophobia» ranking 3^rd as a cool experience, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a first time escape room.
Lastly, the employees were very friendly both times we went, even when my group of rowdy friends starting singing along to their super fresh waiting room jams.
All in all, it was a blast, and I’m sad that we don’t have any more Trapped rooms to try.
I would highly recommend Trapped for first time escape roomies. Happy escaping! :)

Had a great time here! We did the claustrophobia room which has the background story of you and a bunch of friends getting trapped by a serial killer and you have to get out before he comes back basically. We got out with 15 mins to spare even tho we kinda skipped the last step and cheated but she said it still counts as a win! We did stay in the room and try to figure out the last step with our remaining time but we didn’t get it. Great team activity and awesome time. This was our first time so we have nothing to compare it too but it was lots of fun and we will def try another room in the future!

The people here were really nice and professional. We started with the Jewel Heist and had such a good time that we stayed and did another room. We’ve been to a few other escape rooms and sometimes they aren’t a good balance of challenge, puzzle solving and fun… this place does a great job at this, though! We will definitely go back if we’re in Toronto again.

I had a great time at Trapped! Having been to only one other escape-​room establishment I have no idea where the quality rates compared to your average escape room, but I though it was great.
They have three rooms, we did «Pandemic» which is rated a «4» and suggests 2 – 6 participants. Our group of three was (I thought) the perfect size for this room!
What I like about Trapped! is the location (convenient) the price (reasonable, I appreciate the student pricing) and the quality of the establishment. The waiting area was done up really nicely and I appreciate the creepy atmosphere as you walk up the stairs. The staff were super friendly and helpful, you can tell they really enjoy their job.
I can’t wait to try their other rooms!

I’ve fought the room escape craze for over a year here in Toronto, but this weekend my group of sister wives and I gave in and checked out Trapped! It was a hoot.
I’m one of those sad adults that gets scared easily, so we opted for their Diamond Heist story line. You have 45 minutes to accomplish some physical, intellectual and puzzle tasks to steal some rich dude’s giant diamond. From lasers, to mind screws, to math and music, it was lots of fun! Now that I’ve tested out these games, I think I’ll come back and brave the serial killer or zombie apocalypse one soon.
As mentioned, this was my first time at one of these places, so I don’t have much to compare it to. I will say, though, that I feel it’s top notch. The rooms are intricate, the staff is friendly and fun, and I highly recommend it.
Lastly, I’d like to tell R Kelly (I know you’re reading this, R), that you should buy a franchise of Trapped! and create a series of closet-​escape rooms. Duh.

Tons of fun. My friends and I took on the Diamond Heist room. It was a mission impossible type theme where your goal is to reach and steal an $ 80M diamond. The room was challenging and tests out your ability to work together with your friends under the pressure of the ticking clock.
I don’t want to say to much and give away the surprise nature of the room.
If your looking for a challenge to go through with your friends, hit up Trapped!

This escape room company is well run and well organized! I’ve been twice now and really enjoyed both experiences. The rooms were fun, intricately designed, and made you get into the action. Both times I left sweating from being so worked up about winning. The staff are really nice and want you to have a good time. Definitely recommend! Just remember that the entrance is in the doorway of the Chinese restaurant!

It was awesome! This was my first time at Trapped, but my friends have been there before so they choose Medieval Prison room. We managed to escape just 3 min before the deadline!
I don’t know how much I really contributed but it was a lot of fun :)

We came here to celebrate my brothers 16^th bday and we had a blast.
We did the Pandemic room which is the «easier» one of the 2 in this location.
As newbies we got stuck a couple of times, thankfully we were given 3 hints by the super friendly staff and we manage to get out of the room in about 1 hr. YES they gave us extra time.
P.S My brother got in for free because it was his birthday! I know what I’ll be doing on my bday

I had tons of fun at trapped. I’ve heard about the escape room craze, but had never tried it. Trapped is at a pretty convenient location downtown — so it was perfect!
We did Pandemic and I’m not going to lie, I had no idea what to expect. I thought zombies were going to jump out at us (thankfully no real zombies). The escape room was really well put together and there was a lot of attention to detail to some of the props. Two of our group were under 18 and we found the difficulty level was perfect, with some of the clues being really intuitive. You get three hints and we were at the time limit, but so close to solving and they allowed us a few more minutes to figure it out!
I think I’m officially on the escape room bandwagon.

Went for a friend’s birthday, and given the name, said friend was already worried about how scary the room would be. The facility was great, and even the «prep/​intro» room was very well done. We decided to do Claustrophobia, and the initial family portrait was possibly one of the scariest things ever.
The actual escape room was well designed and promoted SILENCE while other team members worked things out. Wait your turn! It definitely promoted team work and quick thinking!
Definitely will go back and try the other rooms!

I came here with a friend and we tackled the Pandemic room. The set-​up was really eerie and well-​themed. We found it to be quite difficult with only two of us, but a ton of fun. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and easy to get to. The price is on the lower end from what I researched and well worth the $ 22.
We’ll definitely be back to check out the other room.

I took my team of 10 here for a team building/​holiday event. We split into two groups to do one of the rooms each, then we switched and did the other room.
We did Claustrophobia and Pandemic. One of my team members was worried that it was going to be scary, particularly given the names, but it wasn’t at all. She had fun.
The room was set up well. It was a little dark (intentionally) making it tricky to see the clues even with the flashlights. There was a variety of clues and we had to piece things together in interesting ways. I’m looking forward to going back and playing Diamond Heist when it opens. The two games that we played were very different from each other. I can’t wait to see how Diamond Heist is different.
The only area of improvement from a game perspective was there was only one person on staff, so she didn’t see us call for a hint when she was in helping the other group. We had a special booking during the day so that may have been a factor.
The building itself was in a good spot. It’s central, there are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops around, and it’s easy to find (Look for the yellow door!).
They had lockers inside so you don’t have to worry about leaving stuff out. There are two washrooms. I did have one issue with the washrooms. The water was cold and the pressure was off. Kind of a thing for me. Not enough to impact the rating.
Our diverse group of 10 all had a great time at Trapped! I couldn’t do the same room more than once, but if they change the rooms up I’ll definitely be back!
