While this library is conveniently located, the workspaces are outdated, uncomfortable, and unsightly. It is hard to find outlets to work on laptop. However, wifi access is good, unlike some other libraries. Hours are reasonably good (from 8:30 — 10:00 most days). Finally, it is not very busy, easy to get a seat, and fairly quiet.
Nevertheless will chose to work at another library in future for better workspaces!

This review is in some ways a rebuttal of the previous negative review.
Libraries are not generally judged by how the décor looks, but rather on the quality of their books. It’s a quintessential example of don’t judge a book by its cover.
As far as content, the U of T Engineering library is very good. As far as work-space, it’s actually not that bad. Yours truly has spent many long productive hours studying in the confines of these wells. Plus, you get all copies of past exams. It’s an essential tool for studying for exams — take my word for it.
