Great beer selection, delicious beet salad and broccoli stir fry. Hummus«mezze» plate was good but not really anything special. Fun place that I would definitely return to.

I was really disappointed, with the service and the dishes itself I ordered one. naan, from the menu but got 3 pizza, shaped small slices of naan which were not freshly made but perhaps made and stored to serve. Never have i had this kind of a, Naan in the world in an, indian, restaurant. Naan is always served hot and fresh… this one was like it was prepared for catering purposes.

We went for breakfast and while it was fine my guess is it’s not their best meal served. The Benedict was the modern light version and the omelette just normal. The beer selection was far from normal with a wide variety of craft brews that would satisfy my west coast palette. Be aware if you are traveling and take the bus you will end up in the worst neighborhood in Vancouver so keep your wits about you but do try this spot as you will not be disappointed as I was with the beer selections at other joints

Pro tip: they don’t offer the full menu if you sit downstairs. And they don’t tell you that until you’re already sitting down there. We put our names in for a table and when asked if we were okay to sit downstairs received no indication that the dinner menu would not be available. Poor management on that front. Other than that, the food was pretty good depending on the plate. Table favourites were the Clam dish and the chicken jalapeño sandwich. The edamame and the stir-fry were good but nothing to write home about. The crispy duck and asparagus salad was mediocre at best. The only other redeeming qualities were the beer selection/rosé and the amazing downstairs bartender who made sure we got the dinner menu and enjoyed our evening.

Incredible place! If they don’t have the most well-curated tap list in Vancouver, I’d be shocked. They have a basement with lots of long-table seating, but it’s worth the wait to try to get a table upstairs. or near a window. The room has such great light!

Beer selection, ambience, food, and service were all excellent. We had the edamame and mezze plate. I always love edamame, so that wasn’t surprising, but the mezze plate came with a nice assortment of things and these delicious pita rounds that were wonderfully warm. We were seated in a corner seat by a window with a view of the trains going by. It was an excellent start to an evening.

Brunch at «The Alibi Room» in Gastown The Alibi Room is located in a red brick historic building. It is after 2:00 pm and the cacophony of diners offers a lively buzz to the shaker style atmosphere. We are offered immediate seating at the bar(tables are full). Menus are clear and after a brief perusal has one imagining the taste of a seductive custom draft on tap. Natasha(totally dedicated) explains the choices of local draft beer. Atmosphere is unique. We sip libations as Red Union Pacific train passes out the window in front of us. We order the fresh fruit(see photo) and«The Salmon Benny» along with a draft beer. English Muffins(Benny) were crisp and the handcrafted Hollandaise by Chef Craig was delectable. Fruit is succelent and the raspberries are a nice spin on the typical fruit and yogurt offering. My rating is 4.5 Stars on «The Alibi Room.» Definitely a fun and lively«Alibi Room» offering good cuisine, service and awesome music«Abba’s Dancing Queen» enlightens our spirts during our meal. Hope to be back for dinner and another great dining experience in pleasant Gas Town. Cool side story: When confronted with my out of battery phone(had a photo taking storm earlier) Natasha said no problem and plugged it in for me. Thanks so much! No smirks just good service and kindness.

Well I toggled between for and five stars for a while but let’s see where i am by reviews end: Great set up: nicely spaced tables, excellent lighting– sunny from either window side depending in the time of day(if your lucky enough to get a sunny day here in raincouver) Perfect score on service– seated, menus right amount of check in, timing for orders and everything. Amazing beer selection & I appreciated the hop legend. Nice snack menu– we got 2 salads and loved them both. Washrooms are down stairs and pay the legs but big and more than one stall. There even parking for $ 1 /hour. Ok. Why am I holding out? They get five stars.

Seriously… I can’t get over their selection! Alibi Room has always been great with their selections. They have sours!!! Not just any sours… GREATSOURS! Their prices are wonderful for what they are offering on tap. I somehow always get a little tipsy here as they just have everything I want to try. The ambiance is amazing. Noise level is mildly loud, but not loud enough where you can’t have a great conversation. I know they have one in Los Angeles and Seattle, but I believe this is the OG. Also, don’t expect a cab to pass by around this area, you may need to walk or call for one. Really… I just love coming back here. There is one disappointment… THEYDON’T MAKETHEMEGADESTROYERANYMORE! BRINGITBACK!!! I hope everyone else that comes here enjoys it as much as I do!

Brilliant tap selection, knowledgable and friendly staff, an amazing kitchen and a wonderful atmosphere. This is hands down my favorite place in Vancouver for the beer selection with food that pairs well. No TVs, no loud music, no BS. Just good people and high quality everything.

Stopped by for only 20 mins to grab a beer in the evening, but it was really great ambience, super friendly staff(Canadians, eh), and good food and drink. The bartender was one of the friendliest ever.

This is in the Gastown district in Vancouver. For those from Washington, DC, the Gastown district is like Georgetown. Anyhow, this is several blocks away and tucked in one of the side streets. We were promptly seated near one of the communal benches. It has a hip vibe to it.. . dare I say a positive hipster vibe as opposed to others. Anyhow, our waitress was very nice and she recommended drinks and entrees to start with. I was very pleased to go here and would have gone the night before if I had known about it.

Kind of away from all the bars in Gastown, but what a fun find! The roommate and I walked here after dinner on Sunday, January 17th, a little the after 9pm. We sat at the bar for drinks and an after dinner snack. *Strange fellows’ «jonguleur» Belgian style whitbier($ 6.75 large) *Tofino’s «tuff sess» amber pale ale($ 6.75 large) Since they had an extensive beer list, I decided to try some brews. I basically told the bartender I’m normally a fan of Belgian whites so she suggested the strange fellows. It was a little lighter than I wanted so she suggested the tofino as a follow up. I wish they asked me what size beer I wanted as I really wanted the smaller sizes. I had a hard time finishing that 2nd beer. *Nikka pure malt black: Japan($ 16) *Double house bourbon($ 8.50) The roommate had been drinking straight pours all night so he just stuck to that. He was still a little hungry so we ordered the Charcuterie plate: daily selection, house condiments, warm breads($ 17.50). Good assortment of meats and condiments. If I were hungrier, I would have been all over this dish. Great bartenders and a fun place. I noticed people getting beer samplers, but I didn’t see it on the menu. For a beer novice like me, I probably should have gotten a sampler instead of two large beers. Maybe I’ll use this as an excuse to come back! Note: They have free WiFi! Just ask for the password.

Gastown was our favourite neighbourhood whilst visiting Vancouver! Alibi is a great pub with tons of brews and great food! I wanted to sample a few beers so I opted for the flight of four. The server made some great suggestions and I enjoyed two lagers and two IPAs. We nibbled on the ‘mezze plate’ during our visit as well. It had a nice assortment of marinated peppers, housemade pickles, olives, goat feta, falafel, and flat bread atop a spread of hummus. **I’ve noticed everywhere we ate the servers use portable(mobile) payment machines for purchases with cards. They come to the table and you complete the transaction on-screen. So convenient(and safer), wish the states would have more of these.**

The wait for this place is RIDICULOUS. We put our name down and walked around for nearly an hour before we were called back. Good thing there were some July 4th fireworks. Didn’t know people in Canada celebrate ‘Murica! It’s a pretty big space. Dimly let and busy without overcrowding. We came here for beer and that’s exactly what we got. There were tastings as well. The highlight of the night was definitely the«chocolate fondant» — Oh. My. Goodness! The waitress recommended it to us and we figured why not? It was only $ 5. After ordering, we were thinking we may end up with the thick frosting used to cover cakes. Thank goodness it wasn’t! Instead, it was heavenly delicious molten lava chocolate cake. I’ve never had anything this darn good. If I had a glass of milk, I would’ve been absolutely happy. This was almost a 1.5 years ago and we STILL talk about that chocolate fondant.

My first time to visit Alibi Room in Gastown. The pub is quite big that a lot of people can sit, drink and chat after work(like happy hours) or enjoy the time off on the weekend. The pub has a lot of variety of beer and wine. I didn’t know what to drink and try. My boyfriend and I ordered a frat bat — ninkasi haze, brsnk 1trickpo, ninkasi pump and SF jongleur. Some of them were bitter, but they tasted good. The service was alright. We went in the afternoon around 3pm. There was no food(from the kitchen) until 5pm as per the server. The pub opens between 5:30pm and 11pm every day except Saturday and Sunday that they also open between 10am and 3pm. Most of the people who rated here like this pub as well as one of our German friends who also said this pub was really good. People who love to drink beer should try the beer here.

I came here with two girlfriends several months ago and still cannot erase the memorable experience from my mind. The Alibi’s only flaw is how busy it is! And why wouldn’t it be? Their food is INCREDIBLE. I’ve never been to a place where I couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the beer was, either. I had a Hefeweizen with the brand name titled«Moon» something. Probably the only thing I forgot about this experience. The service is great, too! Our server wasn’t the type to harass but observed when we he was needed and was bursting with energy. The atmosphere is lively, with dark wood panelled ceilings and a downstairs cellar for more casual gatherings. If it wasn’t so busy all the time, then I’d be there ALLTHETIME. So beware arriving late on a Friday or Saturday, waits can be about an hour or two long. Overall, The Alibi Room does not disappoint, and with it away from the craziness in Gastown, it suits any beer or food lover’s cravings. Thanks for the amazing experience, guys! I will be back!

What can you say about Alibi that hasn’t already been said? Incredible beer selection? Check. Fantastic food? Check. Long waits during busy hours? Check. Friendly service? Check! To add another 2 cents to the 600 already here I’ll tell you: I love Alibi! I don’t make it here very often due to the lines, and the location(I just really hate taking the #20) but when I do I always have a blast. Their brunch is delicious, and last time I was here I was lucky enough to grab their salmon special, which was truly a gourmet feast! Tiffany N, my dining partner grabbed a few appies, and I can certainly vouch for how tasty the cheese plate was! Our server was bright, chipper, and helpful — suggesting tons of different beers that I might like(I did), and checking on us regularly to ensure we were doing ok. Alibi is a rare and interesting beast, and I highly recommend giving it a try!

My favorite spot for beer and bar food I’ve been to this place a couple times. The beer selection is amazing. A lot of the food items are beer-related, which is really awesome. I really love their skinny fries. This is a great pace to end up at for a night out. Your belly will thank you:)
