Your one stop neighbourhood shop for grooming, daycare and boarding, and pet nutrition! Quality brands such as Acana kibble and Stella and Chewy’s raw food for both cats and dogs. Come in for a grooming consultation or drop your dog off for a day of fun! We specialize in pet nutrition and health, ask us for samples! we are open on SUNDAYs for grooming by appointment only!

Historique

Fondé en 2015.

Rebranded and renovated in early 2015, Ball and Biscuit is now owned and operated by a local East Van resident, who is also the groomer at the shop! Ball and Biscuit’s goal is to provide a neighbourhood shop that caters to residents and their pets. With a laid back, easy going East Van vibe, you will notice that our prices are reasonable, while maintaining a high quality of brands of food and accessories. Come in and have a chat with us, we love hearing about your pets, and we also love giving out advice on pet nutrition, health and behavioural issues!

Carrie is the groomer and also the owner/operator of Ball and Biscuit, so you know that your dog will leave the shop looking perfect after their groom! She took over the business in early 2015 because she decided that she wanted to interact with human clients as much as with canine clients! The shop is her entirely her concept, from designing the logo, painting of the shop, building of the fixtures and curating each product that is sold in store to ensure highest quality.

Carrie and her partner recently adopted PorkChop, the resident mascot. Come by and say hi!

Ball and Biscuit is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the neighbourhood for the pet community. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. They are a full service store with doggy daycare, grooming, food, snacks, toys and clothes. My dog Aoife loves going to daycare, visiting her friends while I’m at work. They update their site with instagram and facebook photos throughout the day so check on my baby girl and share the moments with the family. It’s really nice not having to worry about how she is doing while at work.
If I’m having any issues with Miss Aoife, they are quick to provide tips, recommendations or demo training techniques. So glad to have found them and to have them in the neighbourhood.

My dog Pretzel has been a regular at the daycare since April 2015.
I cannot say enough positive things about Ball and Biscuit, the owner Carrie, or her staff. Pretzel always comes home ready for a nap after a «hard day» of playing, so I know she is having a great time. Carrie even sends me pictures and videos so that I can see for myself! They have a good sized daycare facility with both an indoor and outdoor area, a full-service grooming operation, and a storefront for all your pet-related needs. Their prices are also very reasonable. You won’t find a better value daycare for your dog!
The staff are all very knowledgeable and genuinely care about the dogs. I buy all of my dog food, treats and gear from them because I know they only stock quality products, the majority of which are local which is a bonus as well! I was having trouble finding a food that agreed with my dog, but with their advice and their extensive stock of quality choices, I was able to find the best match.
What really locked it down for me what when Pretzel became under the weather while at daycare. Within minutes Carrie had accurately diagnosed the problem and kept Pretzel comfortable and calm until I could get her to the vet. I was stressed because something was wrong with my girl, but I knew that she was in very caring and capable hands.
I trust Ball and Biscuit completely for all my dog care needs and would not hesitate to give them the highest recommendation to all pet owners in the area.

My go-to for regular dog care.
B&B carries a great selection of mid-to-high-end dog treats, food, toys, and supplies. If your dog has specific dietary needs, this is the place to go in Mount Pleasant.
The best thing B&B has going for it is the staff — everyone is super friendly, and genuinely cares for the well-being of pets and owners alike. They always do a great job grooming my large, energetic border collie cross.

Love the new look! The owner and super friendly and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pets. They have my favourite brand of dog food. The day care area is clean and looks super fun for the furry ones. Would definitely come back if I ever needed daycare.

Came here to buy some treats for my pup.
Owner was super friendly and helpful without being pushy. She asked if she could give my dog Scully a treat and got her to sit. Scully loved her and followed her around the store.
Very clean shop, surprisingly large selection for the size of the store. I ended up buying a huge bag of salmon skin chip treats, the owner suggested them saying they were the best deal. And they really were, it’s a huge bag of 200grams for $ 9.95. I was honestly surprised at how fair the prices were!
It’s really close to my place as well, so I’ll be making it my regular shop

I took my Pomeranian here for a summer cut and groom and he looks fabulous. I find it really telling how your pet reacts to the person after the session and he adored her (he’s not easy to deal with for nail trims!!). Carrie, the shop owner, is super nice and professional and clearly cares about your pets. The shop has a great selection of products, some of which are higher end that you don’t find in other stores in Vancouver.
Also, they host small dog socials at their daycare every month or so, with snacks for dogs and humans. More fun for the humans I’d say :)
Will definitely make this my regular groomer and daycare for my pup.

Awesome dog daycare! very neat n clean! Ozma enjoys it there… price is reasonable! staff ad owner are very friendly. They also host a mingle dog gathering once a month for owners to chill out with their dogs in their own fenced in backyard. Keep an eye on Metro Vancouver small dogs in the «Meetup» app for the dates. Try this daycare, if you haven’t. don’t miss it out.

New pet store that opened up in this hood. Lots of toys and food and very friendly staff. I bought something for some of the dogs in my coop. Prices were very reasonable.
