One of the best lunch spots in the downtown for Korean and at a bargain price. I usually get the beef bibimbap for $ 8.50, which is fried meat, veg, and egg served over rice-you can also get a pork, tofu, or shrimp version. The portion size is huge and you also get a side dishes of miso soup and hot sauce. The way to eat it is to mix it all up, ensure the soft egg yoke pours all over and then put on hot sauce to your liking-yum! They also provide additional garnishes to the left side of the counter, which include Soy, Black Bean, Teriyaki, etc and there is green tea and water for free. Fast and polite service, just try to get there before the lunch rush. They also do a hot stone bowl which is really popular judging by how many people in the food court eat it, I just have not tried it yet.

I am giving a four to a lunch place because the Hot Stone bowl is(as my friend puts it) comfort food. I order the bowl and ask for half beef and half spicy pork. You still hear the sizzle when you pick it up. I usually have Korean food once per year but this month I’ve already gone 3 times. A friendly smile will greet you.

Most Korean places I’ve been to are typically expensive and small portioned, but not Bibiko! The last few times that I’ve been roaming through the International Food Fair, I’ve been wondering where everybody had been getting the bowls of veggies with an egg on top! Given the rather sorry weather we’ve been having(heavy rain and hail), I thought it was a good excuse to duck into the food fair once more to try out the seemingly popular Bibimbap! Lo and behold it was AMAZING. For under $ 9, I got a bowl packed with veggies, pork, and even a free fried egg on top! Would definitely come back again to try their Kimchi Fried Rice
