Historique
Fondé en 1923.
The Sanctuary was built by the Rev. (Lt.-Col) G.O. Fallis, C.B.E, E.D., D. D as a memorial to those who served and died in World War One.
Rev. Fallis made a solemn commitment to the soldiers whose memorials he presided over while he was serving as a chaplain in France to return and build a peace memorial.
His intention was in no way to glorify war; on the contrary, it is, above all, a peace memorial. The mission of peace-making — cultivating right relationship with God, self, neighbour — and the planet remains an important focus in our congregation.
Now we offer workshops, worship and provide facility space to wellness groups, artists, teachers and other groups who care about making a difference in the world.

Beth H.
Manager
A graduate of the Atlantic School of Theology, Beth was ordained in Fredericton in 2000. She was settled to a church with six congregations in rural Newfoundland and has served two churches and an outreach ministry in Ontario. Beth offers breadth of experience: in pastoral care; faith formation programming for children, youth, families and adults; freelance writing, research and curriculum development; and designing and implementing programs for youth at risk.
Beth is Mom to Leah, a ferocious reader, and to Anna, who is spunky and spiritual (but not so religious). She is married to Steven Chambers, who also happens to be a United Church minister.
