Centre Ice Grill

Had a group for dinner there recently before a hockey game. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was good. Value for your money is poor both for food and drinks, unless you are as rich as the owner! We would not go back. There is just too many great places in Vancouver with much better value.

My wife and I along with some friends attended a concert recently and was lucky enough to have had a table at the Centre Ice Grill. From the moment we arrived the service was great!!! The restaurant wasn’t overly busy but not withstanding the service was friendly and our server was always available. We met the manager Dermott who continued to drop by our table to make sure we were being looked after. Our group ordered dinner and it was very good. Our food was served hot and promptly. Overall I would recommend the food at the Centre Ice over some of the higher end restaurants that I have eaten at recently. However what makes this a great experience is the attentive service and the location overlooking the action. We had a great evening a fantastic concert enjoyed from a great location.

Well not a great night for the center ice grill. Made a reservation for 6, got my food at 5 to 7. The manager at least bought me a beer but it’s tough when you’re entertaining friends and you have such poor service. They also changed the menu and it’s gone much more upscale. What happened to good old pub food at a hockey game?
As a season ticket holder I would’ve expected more… Next time I guess we’ll have local fair outside the arena!

I am a season ticket holder with the Canucks and I have eating at Centre Ice Grill for the past 8 years where the atmosphere and food as always been great.
This year with the new management & staff the service is brutal, if you enjoy waiting for an hour for your food which may not be what you had ordered this is the place!
In the past this place was always busy and now it is mostly empty… they need to fix whatever they have changed this year!

This place is just the worst. Do they even know they are a restaurant?!
If you are coming here for drinks only, I am sure your experience will be better. But if you’re expecting a night out equal to the prices you are paying for food? Ahahahahhaahahahahahahahahahahah. I laugh at you. You will be very disappointed.
I have been here on several occasions to watch the game from the table seats. The seats are pretty pricey, and you must spend at least $ 25 on food/​drinks in combination with that. I tend to put a higher expectation on experience when I am paying a higher price. Am I alone here?
The service is always sporadic at best, sometimes drinks are refilled immediately, sometimes they sit empty for a full period. Sometimes your order is taken right away, sometimes you must search someone out and flag them down. Sure it’s a busy place and sure hockey fans love drinking, but I think they could stand to have a few more people on to speed up the situation.
The menu has limited vegetarian options which is probably not a problem for most. The only entrée is some pasta dish with vegetables. Last night it was a congealed blob of cream sauce drowned spaghetti pasta with a handful of vegetables dropped on top. It was as though it sat under a heat lamp for awhile before coming out to the table. What.the.hell. The server very kindly removed it from my bill.
Was that ranty? Whatever. Don’t eat here. Eat at home, eat at a vending machine, eat anywhere else before you come here and just spend $ 25 on drinks and get drunk instead.
