ClearPoint Counselling Services (CCS) provides mental and health counselling/​education services to adults, seniors (ages 65+), and Cantonese speaking Chinese immigrants to achieve emotional, psychological, physical, and social wellness. Most people can benefit from some sort of counselling; to help manage a personal crisis or repair a relationship, identifying and letting go of old behaviours and habits or choosing a new direction in your life. Shirley Ley, MEd, CCC is the founder of ClearPoint Counselling Services. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #3502) with the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). As a CCC, she meets both professional and educational requirements as set out by the CCPA, continues to be involved in professional development activities, and abides by a formal code of ethics.

Shirley draws from her first hand experience as a second-​generation Chinese Canadian when delivering counseling services to the Chinese population. She understands the unique difficulties that new immigrants face in all facets of life including home, work, and school. Through the use of a shared language and cultural experiences, she hopes to reduce the barriers to counselling services for Chinese immigrants.
