Solid 3.5 stars, how’s this for service, especially if it means giving more business to its competitor stores.
Was inquiring about buying the Blackberry Passport outright instead of locking myself into a 2-​year contract (not to mention their crappy data plans) and the young fella suggested their Oakridge store as their store policy doesn’t allow it. Will report on this soon lol.
A average sized store considering its area, beside my average meal at Shishinori.

If all Telus phone providers were like Clearwest Solutions, this wouldn’t have been my fourth attempt to upgrade my phone — this includes calling into Telus directly!
I happen to be in the neighbourhood at the end of October (2014) and found Dave working on his own and busy. He acknowledged me, asked if I had a quick question or if I would mind waiting so he could give me his undivided attention. Once he was free, I explained I was looking to upgrade my phone, but to get the promo pricing I had to upgrade my plan. He walked me through my options and didn’t pressure me to go big. He listened to what I wanted from my phone and plan and answered all my questions. When I felt confident in choosing my phone, it was discovered that the one I wanted wasn’t in stock, but he could have it brought into the store AND he could hold it until I was able to return (start of November).
Dave texted me when the phone came in and arranged for me to come pick it up. Dave’s customer service, believe it or not, was brought to another level when it came to purchasing and activiating my phone. He was entering my phone details into the system when he noticed I had been a Telus client for 14 years. He put into a call to Telus and managed to obtain a better deal on my device AND a better plan for my money.
I walked out of Clearwest Solutions paying almost HALF of what I was expecting to pay out for the phone, getting more on my plan than previously for about the same cost, easy instructions on how to transfer my data between the old and new phone and learning Dave and I both spent time growing up in the same small Vancouver Island town.
Dave and Clearwest have given me a Telus interaction that didn’t make me want to terminate my long standing relationship with the company.

These guys are great. I’ve set up 4 phones on my account through these guys. Great staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful. In years past, dealing with mobile phone sellers always felt cheap, like I was being «oversold» on plan features. Usually some post-​high school kid trying to make a few dollars. Not these guys. The staff here provides you with excellent solutions and do all that they can to minimize cost and maximize phone features. Never trying to «oversell» you on supporting products.
Each time I purchased a phone, they’ve helped me to set up the phone so that my purchasing experience was as seamless and easy as possible.
I would highly recommend the Mt. Pleasant Clearwest location for you next phone and plan purchase and will definitely keep coming back to these guys for my mobile phone needs.

Wow, they sure do have good salespeople here! I came in fully intent on buying something simple to replace my ancient phone that had finally died and left with an iPhone. It’s not like i had even WANTED an iPhone prior to this, quite the opposite in fact. What made me change my mind? The man who helped me, Cesar, basically sold me on the phone by finding a way to cut 40 dollars off my monthly bill while still keeping all the features i had before! You had to have a smart phone to qualify– up until this point none of my phones had been smarter than me– and being a mac user, it seemed like the logical choice!
I was pretty impressed with the service because he called Telus twice for me to ask questions i had about my new plan features and what they included. It isn’t a Telus store so i don’t expect them to know all the ins and outs of every single detail of Telus’ contracts, so i was happy that he actually called to ask instead of bullshitting an answer just to quickly sell me a phone. He also showed me a lot of handy features and showed me applications i could download to even further cut my bill down by making calls through a wireless router! I’m assuming they make most of their money by selling phones and getting a commission for signing people up with Telus, so they certainly had no qualms about showing me how to save a bunch on my month to month bill!
Also, this is the first time my phone hasn’t been screwed up after activation. I’m pretty sure I have a ranty Telus review on here somewhere because in the past it has taken me more than one visit to an actual Telus store to get my phone working properly! For the first time ever, I had no problems with my phone after it was activated when i came here!

I wanted to upgrade my phone, I phoned these guys and they said they had the phone in stock, arrived 6:30 pm, 3 staff 1 customer asked to get the phone and said I had a promo discount cert in hand (they looked at discount cert said OK no problem), then after a discussion among themselves I was told they don’t have the phone come back Monday, nobody even looked at a computer for stock or in a storage area. Walked out saw Best Buy and went in got phone they took promo cert, all good. Phoned Clearwest Solutions Inc on «the» phone when leaving Best Buy, they said its late but they would wait and yes they had the phone in stock. Don’t deal with these guys.
