I went to MIP to see if they could perform some graphic design for me for a small personal project that I was working on. I had a picture that I wanted to have photoshopped so that it would look more artistic and I could print it out and frame it as a gift to someone. After consulting with Alex in person, he advise me on the fastest and cheapest way to produce the image that I desired. The main issue I had with this location is communication. When they sent me a preview of what they had done with my picture, I wasn’t particularly fond of it. I sent an email to Alex telling him what I didn’t like about it and asked if they could replicate the look of an example I sent him prior. I received no response to my email. I called them a day later to ask if they had made those changes. I spoke with Alex again and he went on to tell me that what I wanted is more complicated than I think and I had to consider time and budget. I don’t understand why I had to be the one to call in and follow-up with them. If it was more complicated than I thought, shouldn’t they call or email me back to inform me? During the call, he emphasized several times that he and his team were baffled that I didn’t like what he had done. This was really irritating because, to be straightforward, I don’t care if you or your team likes it. I’m the client and this is for me. Everyone has different tastes and different opinions of what looks nice so I didn’t appreciate trying to be convinced that I’m being ridiculous for not liking it. Never did I say they did a bad job. All I said was that I wasn’t particularly fond of it for the following reasons. I felt like he took my feedback personally so I didn’t find their conduct very professional in that sense.

Worst print shop I have ever been to. As soon as they were up and running, the manager, and any staff that actually know anything are nowhere to be found. High prices is okay for good service, but the staff disappeared, leaving a $ 10 per hour laborer in the front. I would say just head across the street to printprint. They don’t need to cash in with crazy markups, and bottom of the barrel staff to pay for a mall location.
