Great franchise. Check them out on Wednesdays for«Date Night». We had great service from the hostess to our wait staff and the manager Sandeep was very helpful as well(we discussed their private room for a future function). The appetizers were delicious and so were the mains. The steak was not quite up to par with the Keg, but that is to be expected as Milestone’s isn’t a steakhouse and has a much wider variety on the menu and the other dishes that we ordered were all enjoyable. Overall I would recommend a visit to this place if you want something different from Cactus/Joey’s and the other big franchises in the city.

Forgive my lack of reviews lately, I’ve been diagnosed with high cholesterol by my doctor a few months ago so I stopped eating out. I ate at home to bring my LDL cholesterol levels down. I’m okay now, so I’ll be back on the eating scene on Unilocal once again. However, I’m going at it slowly and have to more careful on what I select from restaurant menus. A few days ago, my friends and I went to Milestones in Yaletown. It has a sophisticated and cozy interior of wood architecture and dim lighting. It looks like a classy hotel or lounge and there’s a private room in the back as well. We were ushered into a roomy private booth. A male host(or bus boy?) came up to us and was quite funny. He introduced himself and added light humour to his conversation. eg) «My name is xyz, and I will NOT be your server today.» Ha. He told us the specials of the night and informed us who our server would be and wished us an enjoyable evening. Two of us ordered the Classic burger with fries, and a girl friend and I ordered the Garden burger with mixed greens(you’re going to see a lot of greens in my future meals on Unilocal since I have to watch my health recently). I had a taste of my friend’s regular burger versus my Garden burger, and of course I like the taste of the real burger meat instead. But my Garden burger patty was still good, and even the meat eaters tried my vegetable-based patty and said it was still tasty. This restaurant is great for groups. The booths are roomy, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, the interior classy, and the staff are interactive and friendly. I will be back for more when I’m in the area!

TERRIBLESERVICE!!! My Fiancé want to gave me a surprise birthday party in Milestones Yaletown. He said he reserved a PRIVATEAREA for 16 ppl. But actually this PRIVATEAREA not PRIVATEATALL. We all sitting in a long table beside the bar. We suppose to have 2 hrs, BUT they asked us to left 30 mins early! ARE U F*CKKIDDINGME??? Let’s talk about the dishes. I ordered halibut, it reminds me a clothing brand called SUPERDRY. Oh my friend, I would NOT eat here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was the worse dinning experience i ever had in the past 5 yrs in Vancouver.

Nosh and Nibble came here and I got a great taste of the following: Cajun Shrimp Diane Portobello Mushroom Chicken Thai Red Curry Chicken Bowl Ganache Torte Right away you can see the menu is quite diverse and a few nations are represented in this menu. The Thai Red Curry Chicken Bowl was a plate of chicken, red peppers, bean sprouts, spinach, and crisp Asian slaw simmered in Thai red curry. I might be a bit biased(seeing as we had just come from Simply Thai) but I didn’t have fond memories of this dish when compared to the other two entrees. I think there could have been some basil or herb added to give more zing to the curry. My runner-up entrée was the Portobello Mushroom. These were juicy mushrooms with a double breast of chicken, fresh basil, roasted garlic, and reduced Reggiano cream. The chicken was a little tough to chew which is why this entrée was just edged out by the next and final dish. The Cajun Shrimp Diane was my favourite entrée and my personal pick if you visit Milestones for Taste of Yaletown. This plate had sautéed Louisiana style shrimp, scallions and mushrooms in a lightly spiced garlic cream sauce. The shrimp was very juicy and tender. Mixing this into the sauce was heaven.

Food sucked, so even though the décor and service is nice, I would not eat here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Even though I would like to give 2.5 stars for service and décor, it makes no sense, because I would not return here because of the bad food. I was served water without asking, since I already had an alcoholic beverage. When I tasted the water, it tasted like TOILETWATER. Disgusting!!! Either the glass was not properly washed, a broken dishwasher; or they don’t filter the bad tasting city tap water. My company has an office up the street, we have coolers that filter cold water on the spot, and our water tastes normal. So serving disgusting water to guests paying $ 25 per meal is outrageous. It was hard for me to pick a meal because they LACKGLUTEN-FREEOPTIONS. I finally picked«The Chopped Salad», which is advertised on the menu as «Grilled chicken, avocado, chickpeas, feta cheese, red corn tortilla strips, and time cilantro vinaigrette»($ 17). To my horrid disappointment, I’m not sure if they even brought what I ordered, because what I received looked like an edamame salad — it was mostly corn, chickpeas, tomatoes, raw onion, and most disgusting and putrid of all, raw celery(and I absolutely HATE the taste of celery). NONE of those ingredients were listed on the menu! And the chicken and avocado? LESSTHAN50g of chicken, so almost non-existent, and a tiny insignificant sliver of avocado!!! The majority of this mountain of frozen/cold salad was corn, chickpeas, celery, and onion. It tasted absolutely disgusting, and was so cold it was hardly bearable in my mouth; probably pulled straight from the freezer. Wife tried my salad too, and she adds that it has a disgusting aftertaste. The total bill for two meals and a drink was $ 44. I paid a sad tip just to get out of there quickly, as I didn’t want to spend another minute in that restaurant. For the same price, you should go to the next-door Earls or Cactus Club. They carry much more Gluten-free options(if you are Celiac), the water is purified, and the salads taste amazing with SIGNIFICANT servings of chicken and avocado(ie. Earls Sante Fe salad). Stay away.

The Yaletown location is pretty nice but not the nicest I’ve seen. Quality in food is ok only, other steak houses have better prime rib. However their pricing is cheaper compared to others. Suitable for big parties of 10+ people with party rooms/areas available. Paid parking is available around the restaurant however it can be a hassle trying to find a spot on a weekend night.

What a great surprise– we happened in after wandering downtown all day — our server was one of the best I have encountered in a long while and the food was excellent for the price point — first time I had encountered a peanut and butter cheesecake– had toasted marshmallow ice cream — chef here is very creative…

Came here with my gf for brunch, I ordered the eggs benny and it tasted very very very cheap. The potatoes that came with it were a little cold. I finished the whole thing but it was because i was starving

Had lunch. Mango chili shrimp and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Food was nicely prepared, but too sweet. Obscured the taste of mango and chili. Very sweet for the ravioli. No Italian would recognize this dish. Looks like the kitchen prepared food for the palate of children. Very disappointing considering the location and price.

We came in tonight at seven, all touristy. No reservations. Party of eight. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. At the same table. Okay? Now get this … The food was kind of remarkable New Canadian. A little bit steakhouse. A little seafood house. A lot of hot damn. We had Cajun seafood fettuccine. We had sliders. We had a terrific pasta and shrimp dish. There was prime rib and seafood tacos. It was all so good. Our waiter was good at making recommendations and he was patient with five kids. What a nice night!

I want to give a plug to this fine establishment. My husband and I were in Vancouver over the holidays, and after checking into our Yaletown-area hotel we walked down a few blocks in search of the restaurants. We looked in on Flying Pig, which was touted-up in several guidebooks but the menu didn’t look all that hot to me, plus it was packed with people, the tables looked small and the place was LOUD. We moved on down a few blocks and discovered Milestones. Nice décor. Quiet(although a fair number of patrons). Good service. And I liked the menu. We both enjoyed the food. Flying Pig can go take a flying leap. I liked Milestones.

Pros: drink specials were good. Food was decent and the prices were okay Cons: the subpar service from our waitress. This dampened the entire experience. As tourists visiting North America for the first time we have noticed the service standard to be generally excellent and when it isn’t, it’s very noticeable. This was one of those times. Disappointing.

Two weeks ago I had dinner at Milestone’s in YT. We eat there quite often because it’s in our neighbourhood. I ordered the Carbonara as it is one of my favorite pasta dishes. It took quite a while for the dish to arrive despite the fact that the restaurant was not busy at that time. I was served a sad looking plate of food. Everything was white except the peas. The pasta was way overcooked, the egg was scrambled, the chicken looked like it was boiled(it was pale white), no seasoning. It is very obvious that the chef did not bather tasting any of it. I mentioned it to the waitress that the dish is subpar. She offered to have it redone. I declined as I did not want to watch my husband eat his dinner while I sit there an wait yet again. I think I can truly say it was the very worst Carbonara I was served ever! I filled in the Milestones online survey which only takes you about an hour to do so as there are no down to the point questions. Eventually I was contacted via email by the GM of that location JK. He wanted to call me, left a message to call him back. I mentioned when I am reachable. Two weeks later I am still waiting… No surprise there! I do not call you BTW, you call me. You have my number and the hours of availability!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here tonight. Our server was so nice and friendly. He kept asking if we needed another drink, or if our food was satisfactory. Which it was. I really enjoyed eating on the patio. Nice days mean nice meals outside and this place was perfect for that. Food arrived at a great time and it was delicious! I had the pesto chicken pasta, while my boyfriend had a burger which he loved. Overall great time spent at this establishment.

Just got back from brunch at Milestones. I had their traditional Big Breakfast with French toast. Nice to wake up late(via Daylight Savings Day) and have a relaxing brunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was super busy and it probably took 20 minutes before we got our meals. Food was so so… I have to say I’ve had a better breakfast at Denny’s! The scrambled eggs were on the overcooked dry side. The potatoes were a bit too spicy for me. And my meal was lukewarm at best. To be fair boarding on the cold side! Our waitress had a condescending attitude… Slow and careless manner. She forgot to bring milk for one of my friend’s coffee. She had to be asked twice. I had lunch with 2 bean counters so maybe that explains my bitchy attitude! Haha. Cumulatively the result is 3 stars! No more no less!
