Honestly one of the best food trucks in the city. Beyond an amazing grilled cheese, tons of great sides, the service is phenomenal. The owner will always smile, remember your name, and it actually feels like you’re at your moms kitchen. For someone like myself with no family here, those moments make life great.

Stopped by this food truck yesterday after shopping the morning away. I’m currently not eating grains so I had to watch enviously as Peter devoured a ham and smoked cheddar on sourdough. He said it was perfect.
I tried the dill pickle and it was perfect. A place that doesn’t skimp on good pickles get 5 stars frome every day!

Grilled cheese sandwiches, such a simple menu item, yet done so well by Mom’s! Ever since my co-​worker introduced me to this truck a few years ago, I’ve been a fan!
My personal fave sandwich combination here is adding double smoked bacon to the multi-​grain bread & havarti cheese. Who can say no to bacon on grilled cheese? Each sandwich also comes with a small side of chips.
This meal is a heart attack waiting to happen. but if you’re gonna clog up your arteries, you might as well do so with something this delicious! #NoRegrets ;)

Great grilled cheese specials on Gluten Free bread. Best! Going back again for the daily special. Only request is to accept Debit cards. Would make it easier for travelers from other countries.

Waited over 25 minutes watching 4 grown adult women bickering and fighting instead of making my sandwich.
The sandwich itself was even less impressive.

They make a really great sandwich with all the toppings /​fixins. We stopped by after a bike ride through Stanley Park and downtown. If we are being honest, they charge a lot for a grilled cheese, and owning /​operating a truck can’t be more expensive than a restaurant, but I will not fault them for it. This is capitalism at it’s finest. Nobody forces you to stop here and eat. There are a hundred other places you can eat at that may charge less money for more food. They are not an airport café or a stadium food stand (which is equivalent to highway robbery).
The service was top notch. Despite the crowd and chaos, they handled everyone courteously and professionally. Very friendly!

Such friendly staff, not too long a wait and my god was that such a good grilled sandwich. The gluten free bread was the tastiest I’ve had over here yet. It was $ 12.50 and came accompanied with a gerkin and some chips, which I was thrilled about. The mango chutney was the moist maker in this insanely good sambo! Well done guys!

Meh. The grilled cheese was decent but nothing crazy.
Based on the photos and reviews I had to stop by. I ended up ordering cheddar on sour dough with bacon and hot peppers. I had to check to make sure the peppers were on halfway thru, as you couldn’t taste them.
The sandwich was just average, not very gooey, more just chewy. I’d be willing to try a different combo if I’m back in town.

Mom’s was our first stop upon flying into Vancouver and we left so happy and full. There was a small line in front of us, but things moved relatively quickly. Lucky for me, the Ze Garden grilled cheese was the special of the day and it was exactly what I wanted. Marbly rye bread with dill havarti, sundries tomato spread, pea shoots, avocado. Thank you! It was so perfect and light.
Not only are the grilled cheese concoctions good, but the presentation is perfect! I was given a paper cone with chips at the bottom, the triangles of grilled cheese at the top, and two pickle spears. Perfect and easy to carry and go. Mom’s offers multiple grilled cheese recipes or you can build your own. They also have gluten free bread and vegan cheese as options, which is perfect for our friends with restrictive diets. We were very happy!

I usually feel ripped off when it comes to food trucks. Good or bad, it’s fashionable to overprice or underwhelm in portion. I’m talking about so call «Gourmet» or «Specialty» food trucks. This is norther. The grilled cheese was delicious, the portions are big and the price is reasonable. I’m highly recommending this place for anyone visiting or living in Vancouver. If you’re a high roller like me, add bacon for a $ 1.75 or so. Why? Do I really need to answer the «why should I add bacon» question? There’s even a couple of potato chips and a deli pickle in the bag so get your salt fix with your sandwich. PS, I got sourdough bread with cheddar. Also tried provolone with white. Both with bacon of course!

What a great find here in Vancouver, pretty amazing food truck with lots of choices from grilled cheese sandwiches. They have their own weekly menu which has tasty sandwiches like the decadent Jackson 3, which has 3 tiers of bready, cheesy goodness (brie, boursin and gruyère).
They also have the classic style which pretty much means you can pick your bread, cheese and if you want you can add double cheese, smoaked bacon and/​or avocado.
Your sandwich comes with a handful of non gmo handmade potato chips and a quarter of a pickle.
If you give this food truck a chance bring cash, they don’t take credit or debit.
Staff are pretty friendly as well

It was probably 230 pm on a lazy Monday. I was walking around downtown looking for a quick lunch. I ended up going to a food truck. Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck. The truck is a staple in front of the Art Gallery. I’ve passed it often and wondered.
I ordered the sour dough ham and cheese grill cheese sandwich. I have to say it was pretty good. Nice and cheesy and meaty. It’s kind of ingenious that they serve the sandwich in a paper cone device. It works pretty well… (See attached picture).
My only complaint with Mom’s is the long wait I was subjected to. They were not very busy… maybe 3 customers to serve and I had to wait from 15 to 20 minutes for my sandwich. There were 4 people working in the truck taking their time! Come on people a food truck is tantamount to a fast food restaurant… emphasis on FAST FOOD here! I would have given Mom’s 4 stars but a 1 star reduction for poor customer service!
I had to ask the serving girl if she forgot my order! She gave me her F Off look, and I took solace in the fact that I didn’t tip her! Haha
Mom’s certainly has a nice grilled cheese sandwich in a ideal location but there are plenty of food trucks out there! I’ll be looking elsewhere!

Yum yum yum. For me, grilled cheese is usually a hit or miss. This was definitely a hit. I heard that food trucks are all the rage these days in Vancouver and so when I saw this one parked on Georgia Street I decided to give it a try! They were just about to close shop but thankfully they were still able to take my order.
I went with the «Mom’s Classic» where you basically choose the ingredients that will go into your grilled cheese sandwich – everything from the bread to the cheese to the toppings. I chose the sourdough bread, two types of cheeses (they let you do half and half) – the havarti and provolone, and red onion toppings to finish it off. It took them about 6 – 7 minutes to make, and when they handed it to me, all I noticed was the perfectly melted cheese. It was SO GOOD. The sourdough bread offset the creamy richness of the cheese very well. I’ve never had havarti cheese before, but it was delicious, as was the provolone. The sliced red onions added some nice additional flavor. Overall, it was a very simple but VERY delicious sandwich. And at $ 7, I thought it was very reasonably priced. Happy to say that this was my first food truck meal in Vancouver!

It’s rare that I’m downtown on a weekday for lunch so when I had a work event downtown I knew I wanted to go to Mom’s Grilled Cheese truck for lunch! If it’s a sunny day be prepared to wait in line. I had never been there before so the cashier recommended the sourdough, half havarti and pepper jack with tomatoes and avocado. The sandwich was so filling I could only eat half! Also, beware if you order this sandwich it is messy!!! LOL, the avocado makes the sandwich very slippery so have lots of napkins on hand!

Dunno if I get the hype. I paid like $ 14? To add bacon and avocado and it still didn’t blow my mind. Wait time was not insignificant. Will try again sometime.

Gluten free bread available. I had it with cheddar, tomato, and bacon. It was yummy! Especially since gluten free grilled cheese, not made to yours truly, is a rare treat.
My husband had the Indian one with chicken. It was delicious!
They come with a few kettle chips and a pickle for the price of the sandwich. Coca-​Cola in a glass bottle was a tasty treat to complete the experience too.
Easy to find, but serves lunch only by the art museum. Nice to find a seat on the steps or grass and people watch for a lunch break.

I went to the Vancouver Art Gallery on a soggy Saturday late morning not for the art, but for the food truck festival. After much indecisiveness on my part and pacing back and forth between food trucks, I advocated for Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck.
I originally wanted to order the beef brisket which I was told it wasn’t available so I ended up customizing my «Wendy’s sandwich» — smoked bacon, caramelized onions, Swiss and provolone cheese with sourdough and EASY butter. Cindy said I can have olive oil instead of butter I said nah… grilled cheese is all about the butter. Not long later my food came in a cone, with two long wedges of pickles.
With my food baby in hand I gently cradled it in my arm, attempting to shield it from the possible rain (and/​or wind) with my umbrella strategically positioned at a slant and paper napkins covered my baby. We sped walked to Pacific Centre, under the glass dome, where I had a better look for this luscious gooey cheese oozing out of the perfectly grilled, golden yellow sourdough bread. The crunch factor was definitely there. The sandwich wasn’t overly salty and I think the sweetness of the caramelized onions counter balanced the saltiness of the bacon. The truck didn’t cheap out on the cheese, again, every bite I took had a generous amount of melted cheese. I personally prefer my pickles more sour than the ones offered by the truck, but they’ll do.
I shared my sandwich with a friend. There was no way I could finish the whole sandwich by myself. After eating just half of it I was contently full. I didn’t feel sluggish or greasy afterwards. Delicious sandwich!

Still the best! Today’s Hammy Sr. special: Applewood Cheddar, Rosemary Ham on Sourdough. So. Darn. Good.

Do you want mercury poisoning? Because this is how you get mercury poisoning. From eating 1000 to many of their ridiculously delicious tuna melt grilled cheese on rye with cheddar.
I don’t know the symptoms of mercury poisoning but I hear you can get it from eating lots of fish. Guess what? It’d be worth it and I don’t care what you tell me!
PS — You can’t get mercury poisoning from eating here dummy.
