Papa’s Moving

These guys were fantastic. They were careful with my things, efficient, and friendly– pretty much everything I could ask for from movers. I recommend them to anyone looking for movers, and I’ll definitely be calling them the next time I have to move!

I have moved at least a dozen times in 10 years; and I’ve had from awful to insane to down right «did that just really happen» moving experiences. But these guys proved me wrong: There is a moving company that is actually professional, friendly, efficient & adaptable from the first phone call to the time they leave. The guys were understanding, careful with our property & constantly asked of our wants & needs during the whole entire move. I cannot say enough amazing things about this company and it’s employees. I would use these guys if we ever move again and I’ve already recommended them to family, friends & strangers!

I’ve used other movers before, but these guys were the best. They were friendly, quick, and careful. I was very happy with the service and I would definitely use them again in the future!

I used this company back in September. It’s family run and can’t recommend them enough. The older son very flexible with move and price is reasonable. Well prepared interview by father first too which was added bonus to estimate move. Then emailed summary. Nice touch.

As far as moves go this had to be a pretty fantastic one due to the guys at Pappa’s Moving! They came right on time, the quote was pretty bang on and the crew worked so hard all day with a smile! They dismantled our queen sized bed and our baby crib and re-​assembled in super fast time. All our stuff was intact and there was no damage to our old place or new place. What a great team of guys! Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again if we ever move in the future.

I loved these guys! They were really friendly and super fast. They moved all my stuff and disassembled, re-​assambled my bed in less than 3 hours. They were very careful about protecting my furniture and the walls and still managed to be really fast. It was a breeze after my unpleasant experiences with other moving companies. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving and I myself will be calling them next time I move.

I was very pleased with my two moves within a week with Papa’s Moving. While they were late arriving both mornings (15 minutes, 20 minutes), they made up for it by being efficient, careful, and helping us out when we had a last minute emergency.
I would recommend them to my friends and even people that I don’t know on the internet.

I’ve hired Papa’s Moving for our last 2 moves and I can honestly say that the experiences were awesome. The highlights: Brent was organized and extremely helpful when I called to book; rates and expectations were clearly set out; the move confirmation email arrived quickly; for both moves I got an ETA call from the movers when they were on their way; the movers (Cody both times, and a different crew with him each time but to a man personable, respectful, well-​prepared, and professional) were careful and efficient moving our belongings; the bill was exactly as expected; during our first move with Papa’s we got both a friendly guide to our new neighbourhood and help re-​assembling a lot of finicky furniture (that was a great introduction to Vancouver!).
I highly recommend Papa’s Moving. The rates are very reasonable and the service is excellent. It also feels good to support a family company of nice, helpful people that seem to genuinely care about making your move as quick and easy as possible. On my most recent move the guys even gave me a frozen water bottle– it might not sound like much, but I felt like they were looking after my things and me during the move. That feeling is priceless during stressful moving times.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with Papa’s Moving! We were moving out of our first apartment, and as anyone who has moved homes before, it can be stressful. However, we had the pleasure of having Cody and Sunny help us with the move — they were not only swift and professional, they were incredibly friendly and great fun, too!
We highly recommend Papa’s Moving company, and we’ll definitely be calling them for help when we move into our new apartment at the end of this year.

I’ve moved nearly 10 times in my lifetime but had never hired movers before until I used Papa’s Moving 2 weeks ago. I was reluctant but pleasantly surprised with the whole process: from booking through Brent on the phone, updating my list of goods to move via e-​mail (with last minute changes on my end accomodated well), questions and tips answered with quick response, and a positive experience as a whole, on moving day.
Cody and Sunny arrived 10 minutes early, were very personable, conscionsious and efficient. It was clear they have done many moves together as they seemed to read each other’s minds when it came to maneouving furniture (even a massive sofa bed through tight corners). The truck was well stocked with dollys, tools (as we ended up having to remove the legs to our sofa), wrap, etc. and was clean.
If I had to move again, I would hire these folks again!

Had a great moving experience with these guys. They showed up exactly on time and were very friendly and easy to deal with. They worked quickly and efficiently and had my whole move done in under 3 hours. I had to pay the 3 hour minimum but felt it was worth every penny. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone in the lower mainland!

Impressed when Sunny and Cody showed up 10 minutes early, and after a friendly introduction and briefing on the logistics, got straight to work. They were fast, careful, and great to deal with– easily taking direction and handling everything with skill. Through conversation I found out that they were both with Papa’s Moving for a while– a good sign that Mr. Partridge hires well and treats his employees well; I chose this company based solely on Unilocal reviews, but of course one never knows who will show up– some companies could use Labour Ready or other temporary/​day workers, which could result in unskilled and careless or dishonest movers. Happily this was not the case with Papa’s and as soon as I met them I knew I was in good hands– not one item was even scratched. Entire move from first item out of old suite in South Vancouver to last item into new suite in Port Moody was 3 hours 15 minutes. The boys earned their tip.
Upon arrival at my new place, a neighbour pulled up and asked me how the move was, as they were looking for a moving company themselves. I was pleased to fully recommend Papa’s and would do the same for anyone looking to move with peace of mind. The rates were fair, exactly as quoted and timed correctly and I feel this is a fully professional, trustworthy moving company.

About eight months ago, a friend was moving and I recommended Papa’s Moving. She was also very pleased with their service. Just wanted to add this.

And one year later… They’ve moved me again!
Booking with Brent was quick and easy as last time. The guys showed up right at 9AM and were even nicer than I remember.
I didn’t have the elevators booked at either ends but they were extremely courteous to my neighbours using the elevators during the move. First impressions at your new building are so important, you don’t want to be known as the tenants with the rude/​cranky movers.
All my stuff is here and damage free. So again, thanks guys for making my move so easy and headache free. :)

This company moved my friend today, there was a little hiccup in the morning where the one worker missed his bus and we had to wait an hour… however, they worked tirelessly, and he gave us the most heartfelt apology for being late, took ownership and told us not to look badly at the company for his actions. It is rare in this world where people are honest, hard workers, and take responsibility for little mess ups with no attitude. The employees of this company are rock solid and it is a real blessing to see hard work and great positive attitudes… I will recommend this company over and over again!
