Propaganda Coffee

The Coffee was terrific. Great space Space Design /​layout. Free Wi-​Fi BUT– upon a few visits, in the middle of my session, the wi-​fi stopped working. It turns out the owner likes to re-​set the password. I had to go up and ask for another code. I saw the the owner was trying re-​fresh his clientele (kicking people out) It’s sad business strategy especially seeing the place was never full. On 3 separate visits, there was no than a few people in the shop at any given time. Also, the girl /​barista was on her phone much of the time while behind the bar. Message Received! I won’t go back. I prefer awesome coffee AND friendly café’s like: birds and the beets, Wilder Snail, matchstick or even starbucks all within the vicinity.

Dropped into this coffee shop because I was too early for an appointment I had in Chinatown.
Everything all the previous Unilocalers wrote about this place is accurate: great food, good ambience, good service, spacious, clean, etc…
Previous Unilocaler’s complaints also on the ball: not enough selection.
I ordered the Green Tea, plain old green tea. And it was Awesome!!! they don’t just give you a cup of tea and a tea bag. They make it to perfection and gave it to me. First sip, and wow, «Soothed the soul». Most places are either bland, no flavour and in a teabag, then I oversteep the tea.
The croissant, plain old croissant, was «To Die For»! I just came back from Paris and it rivals Paris! Big crispy, flaky, super fresh. They order the croissants and it’s baked fresh on the premises.
I like my things being simple and yet, the it touches the heart. A bit too expensive for me but worth it, if you need to escape from the Real world for a short time and cheaper than Retail Therapy.

Only came once but I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and simplicity of the place. Coffee was tasty and the chocolate croissants (technically Pain au Chocolat) were delicious.
Great if you need to work, study or read.

Great coffee, tea, wi-​fi, décor, and reading material.
The only thing to improve is better and more varied snacks.

Reviewing as a study-​work spot.
Sufficient outlets. Free, reliable wifi. Good ambient music. Not too busy. Lots of open space. Different spaces available for different work styles. Cute décor without being a distraction. Very clean. Able to keep a tab open.
New favourite spot.
Note: limited food options, but sufficient for snacking.

Coffee is awesome. Staff have good vibes. Plugs, wifi, usually not too busy. Could be cheaper, considering the area, but that’s okay. Lots of good magazines. Prefer it over matchstick.

Come for the coffee, stay for the décor. Lovely café with a minimalist feel.
Definitely one of the budding cafés of Chinatown that everybody should visit at least once for the experience.
Could be compared to Matchstix for aesthetics, and only a few blocks away.
And after, you can get your keys cut next door!

My colleague and I went for a coffee walk and popped in here. I ordered a skim mocha as per my usual. It was really good. My colleague ordered a cheese scone and an espresso. My drink was lovely as was hers. I really enjoyed the décor, very clean and modern. The barista and owner weren’t very social or friendly, kind of bizarre for a coffee shop.
The only real downfall is there is not a good selection of baked goods.

I actually saw this reviewed on Ayla C’s coffee list and since I am on a 100 coffee shops in 52 weeks challenge I thought that this would be a perfect entry to the list.
The hours of operation of 8 — 5 pm aren’t user friendly for someone who isn’t in the area, however, I did manage to hit this up on the weekend.
Very clean and bright interior, lots of which space with modest seating room inside.
The staff here are amazing. The lady whom took my order was a sweet heart and engaged in conversation with me about arts are crafts. I will admit that I was pleasantly surprised as to how chatty she was since it is so not Vancouver.
I love blank cups with stamps. i weirdly collect these. I know that is becoming a hipster trend to do this. The stamp was a robot! I LOVE ROBOTS (and so does my best friend).
I turned their Robot mug and colored it and made it into a piece of art (will upload pics later).
I wrote on the back, «A rainbow in the sky is natures way of telling you that a robot has not had coffee yet.» I have no idea what that means to be honest. I just make sh*t up in my head and write it on blank coffee cups.
They didn’t have the specialty drink I was looking for, however, they made an amazing chai latte with in house made infused syrup that wasn’t too sugary. Even with the almond milk substitution it was under $ 5.

A great little coffeeshop in the new style of clean lines, lots of white space, and very modernist.
I was early for a meeting down the street so grabbed a decaf Americano to go. The cups have adorable robot prints on them, so that was an insta-​win for me! The pricing is roughly the same as most semi-​fancy coffee shops, at $ 3. The staff weren’t super chatty, but were friendly enough. I like that they have water on tap instead of having to ask the baristas all the time.
The coffee was pretty good, although it smelled sharper than I like so I did add some milk. The space is calm and the couch I was on was quite comfortable — I would have liked to have stayed longer to get more of a sense of the place, but I liked what I saw. I’ll be back!

Great cappuccino. I don’t like the traditional way of cappuccino which has so much white foam on top and I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed as I walked in because their interior design basically tells you they are one of those cool «hipster» coffee shops – minimalistic and modern – they make the cappuccino the way I love it.
I was really attracted to their espresso machine which I never encountered before, it’s the coolest and most beautiful thing I have seen.
The location is a bit off in my opinion. I think they could have a lot more business if it was on a bigger street with better parking.
Overall, another good coffee experience!

Walking into this place reminds me a lot like Matchstick which was like 3 blocks away. The walls of the place is very white and the place I have to say is very clean. I was in here like about last week meaning they have been open for about maybe 1 month or so. I’m not sure people ever notice it because it’s on the side. I walked in at around 9ish 10 and there were a few people siting there. I believe they have WIFI because there were a few Filipino ladies skyping or facetiming.
Like usual I wanted a Vanilla Latte but mos of these coffee roaster places don’t carry flavoured shots. So, I just ordered a regular latte and added honey to it. Their coffee machines looked really cool. I’m totally in to their coffee machine though. I’m wanting to own an espresso machine one day when I have my own place. Anyways, that’s just a side note. The coffee was ok. Like I say I hate it or love it. Their honey was very liquidity though that came from a bottle that you would use for vinegar maybe.
Customer service wise, I didn’t get much from here. The 2 girls that worked behind the counter were pretty much on their phone when I walked in. I got maybe a hi from one of them but no smile.
Overall, I see it a place that’s good for students who want to find a coffee shop to study at. It’s not a bad place to do that because it’s fairly quiet.

Classy new coffee house. Wide open areas. Ultra mod décor. Good coffee. Full signal WiFi. The coffee I had is Kigeyo and is good, with an elegant sandy finish. How weird and interesting. Beautiful staff. Wooden tables. Ceiling pipes. Creamy snowstorm, or refuge from atmosphere. Latest ambient music.

Went there for their soft opening (Jan 21) during my lunch break.
Their store is located just east of Main and Pender right in the hear of Chiantown. It’s a clean open space with one large table for 8+ and several smaller tables for 2.
They source their coffee from local roasters. At the time of the visit they had coffee from Elysian and Pallet on their menu — both excellent roasteries.
Food was limited to croissants for their soft opening.
It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood.
