Taste To Savour

It’s almost a year since my daughter got married and we are still raving about our caterer Tracy (Taste to Savour). Not only was her food amazing (just what my daughter and her now husband wanted) but Tracy helped us organize the wedding in 3 days. It was a spontaneous decision; not only was it a miracle that she was not booked but it was incredible how we pulled off a classy, warm, welcoming, organized wedding in that short a time. We could not have done it without Tracy and her competent and friendly staff. Tracy went above and beyond what anyone might expect; planning, ordering furniture; décor, creating tasty delights and a special cocktail; setting up; cleaning up, creating a hangout space on our deck complete with a bar, fireplace (her own propane), heaters and lights. She was a gem. Highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Taste to Savour catering for any event. Tracy is easy to work with, organized, smart, makes delicious, creative and good-​looking food, serves it perfectly to fit the event, and really goes above and beyond to make each event special.
My husband and I had been contemplating plans for our wedding for several months. We were in Vancouver for an event and it just so happened that both of our immediate families were in town at the same time, so we decided to take the opportunity to try and pull off a wedding in a weekend?!
My mom had been recommended Taste to Savour by a friend and so I called Tracy on the off chance she might be available to do a wedding in 3 days… and she was! She came over the next day, toured the house with my mom and I and helped us to envision the best spots for the ceremony, the catering, the bar, cake and speeches. She recommended what furniture to rent for 75 guests, coordinated all the rentals and came over to help set up. She even transformed our back deck into a warm winter lounge with a canopy tent wrapped in lights she lent us and her propane fire pit that both heated and completed the ambient feel.
Tracy worked with us to design the food menu to specially match the feel of the party and our dietary needs. On top of it all, she offered to order and pick up all our alcohol, and created a signature drink for our wedding. The cocktail party dinner menu was perfectly adapted to us — each dish was creative, tasty and beautifully put together, and our guests were well fed. Tracy’s staff, including servers and bartenders were friendly, classy, and well organized. Our wedding was exactly what we wished for and we could not have made it happen without Tracy and Taste to Savour. I can’t thank her or recommend this company highly enough! Thank you Tracy, you are the best!

We chose Taste to Savour Catering for our wedding and it was amazing!
Not wanting to have a traditional wedding, we opted for a cocktail style menu with servers and food stations at our art gallery wedding.
Tracy and her staff were wonderful to work with. The menu selection was great and she was very willing to accommodate allergies and our budget. Her expertise on flow and timing was evident as she was able to make recommendations of where to put the bar, for example, to avoid congestion.
Our guests raved about the delicious food. Unfortunately as the bride, I can’t say I ate too much as I was so busy. My only regret was not getting a doggy bag to enjoy the next day.
I’d highly recommend choosing Taste to Savour Catering for your next event. :)

I went here today, but the place was CLOSED. This place needs to be updated. I was really looking forward to trying this place out based on the reviews. I guess I should have looked at the dates this place was last reviewed or something.

Once upon a time, a boy was dying for a sandwich and soup, and he Unilocaled for a nearby place, which led him to Taste to Savour,
At first glance on the outside, it did not look like a café/​bistro as it seemed more like a business, which kind of drove me away the few times I walked by. So glad I finally discover this place now.
I ordered the sandwich and soup combo — Turkey Club Sandwich and carrot and ginger with coconut milk. The order was made ready quickly, and it tasted fresh and fabulous.
Will definitely visit again as work is only 3 blocks away. Excited to try the salads and quiche next! :)

My mom had a Groupon and had a stock of lasagnes she picked up from this place. She gave me the spicy sausage lasagne. She froze it so I had to thaw it in the fridge overnight then bake it the next day. Even though we had frozen it, the spinach inside was bright green, pasta was SO fresh and large pieces of ground sausage throughout was juicy. One of the best lasagnes I have ever had, including all of the fresh lasagnes I’ve had in New York even! Wow, will order from this place, it is well worth it. SUPER fresh natural ingredients. A+

I ordered Taste to Savour’s Valentine’s Day dinner for two. It was a wonderful choice. It was easy to order online and Tracy was great about having everything packed up and ready to go when my husband picked it up.
The food was perfectly packaged with each detail of the meal neatly organized. The instructions for reheating the food were simple and easy to follow.
The food itself was delicious and very reasonably priced. We had a four course meal that was worthy of a four-​star restaurant.
I look forward to Valentina’s Day next year!

Taste to Savour just catered our Christmas luncheon at the office and I can’t say enough good things about them. The food was wonderful, the price was right, and the girl who delivered the food set everything out beautifully. She even set up items that we’d brought to look nice on the table.
I would definitely have them cater another event — great job!

Taste to Savour Catering has been open for a couple of years, but they usually did catering. Recently, they updated the place, and also opened it to the public.
I’m not too fond of the parking since it’s on busy Oak street and they are not open 7 days a week.
The brownies are declicious and addicting. The wiild mushroom, tomato based sauce, penne, and chicken was fresh and yummy. Yup, it was just made that day !! Haven’t tried their soups, because they were sold out :(One day.
It’s a nice take out place without the salty/​preservative taste that some places have when you take out.

They no longer carry «Maki Bars», though that logo is still on the storefront. According to the storekeeper, she (the Maki person) only does farmers markets now.
I tried one of their frozen soups. It was good, but not «homey» for me, since spices dictated the flavour, not broth.
I like the food, but it’s a fancy price, so I don’t stop by too often. If I was organizing a fancy party, I would definitely consider them.

This is such a neighborhood gem. I stumbled upon this place after peeking into the window and realizing they had food.
I was greeted by the owner of Maki Bars, which like Sachi said, are these little power booster bars that are made with high quality ingredients. They are a little pricey, but are so great for kids and people looking for a good light snack with a power boost.
I’m big on trying different pastries and I fell in love with their peanut butter bar. I can’t remember who makes them (they have three different caterers that share the facility) but it was honestly one of the top 10 best pastries I’ve ever had. That’s because I’m a big peanut butter fan as well.
The place allows for seating, and so if you enjoy a quiet environment to just to eat, this is a great place. They also sell tea, some of it Tazo at the price of 1.50. The same tea you can get at Starbucks next door but for so much more less.
If you’re on you’re way to Richmond, you should definitely drop by this place. I do know they are closed on Sunday and Mondays though.
