Description

Spécialités

Like a sports bar for nerds! We have board and card games, great food and BC microbrews on tap, fantasy films on the big TV, and tons of weird sci-fi memorabilia (including our famous 800-lb Cthulhu shrine).

Historique

Fondé en 2012.

Vancouver has no shortage of sports bars, or fancy cocktail places, or upscale eateries where you can pay $ 13 for a beet salad. What it didn’t have, until now, was a funky venue for nerds (and those who love them) to hang out, play, drink, and eat tasty but affordable food. When the owners of the venerable Latin Quarter decided to retire, we saw the opportunity to bring this idea to Commercial Drive, the ideal neighbourhood for an offbeat, affordable joint like the Storm Crow.

Gérant de commerce

I’m a co-founder of PopCap Games, makers of video games like Bejeweled, Plants vs Zombies, etc. The Storm Crow was started in 2011 as an experiment: could a «nerd bar» that provided a friendly space for geeks and gamers succeed in Vancouver?

So far the answer has been an emphatic «yes!» But we’re always striving to improve.
