We are Tracey and Stuart Scher. We are from the UK and South Africa. We, along with our 4 kids now live in Vancouver. Our other business is a holiday resort for families in the South of France called Country Kids.

We love animals! We have cats, dogs, 2 llamas, a horse, 8 donkeys, 8 goats, 3 pigs, 4 sheep and a barn full of chickens. Please visit us in the Red Caboose outside the kids market on Granville Island and say hi.

Store is a train carriage. The sign outside «everything for cats and dogs under one woof». Love it!
The first thing that hit me when I entered was the smell of baking. Ohhhhh, how nice. They bake their own dog cookies and birthday cakes. How can you resist that?
Usual selection of dog and cat stuff but the highlight is definitely the in store bakery:
Gluten free
Nutraceutical
Human grade ingredients
Sugar free
Salt free
Free range eggs
Virgin olive oil.
That’s a feel good list!
Bought some treats and they were well received. One thing is that they were extremely hard. I wanted to break them in half and couldn’t. So my dog lucked out on the portion size.

On Canada Day I witnessed an altercation between the owner of Woofles and the charitable organization that set up a table next door to them for the day. The organization had some catnip-​stuffed toys it was selling to raise money for their organization, and the owner of Woofles was berating them for selling «cat toys outside my cat toy shop», and demanding that they not sell them. He was incredibly rude and overall his behaviour was atrocious. Even worse was that he behaved like this in front of what I believe to be was his young daughter. I spoke with the ladies at the organization afterwards and they are an animal-​rescue charity, who told me they have been in that location for many years on Canada Day, and every year the owner at Woofles is rude to them. I will never shop there again.

This is one of the stops whenever I am on Granville Island. In fact this place is not a stranger to me. When I had Freedom my black lab I would get him treats from here. Super awesome loving people who clearly have a passion for pets. I also bought a ball from here for him to play in the park. There is always someone in here with a cute dog to pet. Prices are very reasonable.

Super cute boutique pet shop in a super cute location with super cute stuff inside. We walked in and were delighted by the smell of freshly baking dog cookies (I know, sounds weird that we were delighted by that but they smelled great)!
The shop owner was friendly, polite and kind and we happily bought some souvenirs for our four legged friends back home. So far both friends are happy customers. I will gladly return the next time I am in Vancouver.

oh dear! I used to buy some doggie treats in here cause it is so cute… then i had a few english students go in to see how much the bones were… the male owner was so horrifically rude to me. He had a go at me for letting them come in… i pointed out to him that one of the students was actually going to buy a brush massage thingy and he didn’t care… he just kept saying ‘where is your prof. courtesy? why didn’t you call to ask me first, they come in here and ove things around then don’t put them back… blah blah blah” He then tried to get my college name at which point I started to just leave.
He was really unfriendly, unreasonable, unkind to potential customers and scared the female student i was with. I felt bad for him as he oozed anger and resentment. Bad marketing skills all round I say.
I own a dog, as do most of my friends, he just lost our custom. And the respect of tourists… boooooo

Almost passed this tiny store in a train car right by, so glad that I found it and brought Agnes with me. They have a complete line of hand made dog treats and many for dogs with sensitivities and allergies, as well as a line of nutraceutical treats to help keep your furry family members woofing and meowing. Agnes’ favorite by far are the dried sardines, I bought a couple packs of those. She is used to getting all kinds of salmon skins and trimmings from my fishing adventures so was thrilled to see these as well as other treats made with wild caught local salmon. The folks who run the store are extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely a must stop whenever you are on Granville Island.

I almost wish this place was bigger, but then it would lose its whole appeal.
Woofles and Meowz is a pet store inside a kaboose. They’ve used the space efficiently and it is fully stocked with high quality treats and goods.
Whenever I’m in Granville Island, I always make a stop here for at least a few minutes.

CUTE lil’ store inside a converted caboose… TALK ABOUT CUTE! It’s so small that it only takes you about a minute to walk in, do a U-​turn, and walk out. The guy inside was super nice and so was the little terrier that greeted us hello and goodbye. Lots of cute things for your pup or kitty, although nothing in clothing or apparel with «Canada» on it (Yes, I’m a tourist) except for the cookies (which were adorable too).

Cute store. Small. Some people’s rooms are bigger than this store.
There’s tons of stuff here for your dog or cat. But I didn’t see too many things for any other animals.
At the front there are also signs you can purchase to put up on your wall.
It’s a cool spot to check out. And it’d take you less than ten minutes to see.

Human grade ingredients in all of their in house made products. Seeing the excitement of my dogs when they lick of the icing (yoghurt) from the pup-​cakes makes the price easier to take.
Interesting quality products jam packed into the cutest store on Granville Island make it a bit of a tight squeeze but I’ve always had excellent service.

For all the fun of shopping for pet stuff inside a converted caboose, this store gets high marks. They have filled the very small space with gourmet treats, toys, and accessories for dogs and cats, including their own line of organic, baked cookies. I was curious, but cutely decorated cookies go for over $ 2 apiece, while a small bag of treats was about $ 6. I find it hard to justify spending that much on cookies for a dog that will just as happily eat wet napkins off the street. But if yours is picky, go for it.
They had a nice selection of leashes, harnesses, and also treat bags and portable water bowls, and of course, toys. Most of the store is devoted to the doggie set, but they also had some interesting kitty stuff, like «catnip cigars.»
It’s a really narrow space, so if more than a few people were in the store, it seemed like we were all on top of each other. Best to shorten that leash if you bring your doggy shopping with you.
