It has been a year and quite a bit has changed since my last few visits(last summer). Hence, the need for another update :) Pros: — They have increased the amount of yoga classes offerings which is great for targeting a wider variety of audiences(from maternity yoga & yoga in the park to pre-teen yoga, etc.). — If you are a regular/frequent yogi, they have specials(i.e. $ 99 unlimited yoga for a month). — I think Body to Bliss is a very tight knit community of more elder yogis. Me and my friend seemed to be the only ”fresh blood” in a group of people talking about their children and grandchildren. — They have a lot of ‘equipment’ for use during your practice; from bolsters and mats to pillows & blankets, they guarantee your utmost comfort during your practice. Cons: — They have also created a number of classes that require pre-registration(i.e. 8 week classes) so there is that escalated commitment(i.e. if you miss a class, you forge the payments). Just make sure you can commit to those dates and times. — The space doesn’t really facilitate large class sizes; yesterday, with a class of 9 people, we felt a little squished. Unfortunately, I lost the remaining 7 classes(I bought a 10 class pass last year) because it had expired; but after we worked out the math, I was able to keep 4 for the price of $ 10. Not too bad. Nonetheless, the teachers remain to be just as friendly and ambiance is still very beautiful, serene & peaceful. At the end of the day, I still prefer the conventional style yoga. Hot yoga has become more trendy nowadays; however, I can’t imagine the discomfort of trying to breathe(let alone practice yoga) in a hot(sauna like) environment.

Body to Bliss Yoga is a new studio in the Islington and Hwy 7 area. This location used to be Blue Door Yoga which I visited more than a year ago. The new owner that greeted me is really nice and even show me around. Nothing much has changed with the deco and the set up of the studio. The lunch class I took, Body to Bliss Flow does involves a lot of abs works and have a lot of mat work components which is a little different than the usual flow classes. The staffs here are all polite and cheerful and they all remembered my name after my first class. I definitely would suggest checking out this studio if you in the area… Passport of Prana is welcome and they offers non heated classes only!
