I came to Mideastro a short while ago with a group of 15 and I was very impressed by both the service and the food. Everyone in our group was very happy with their experience. We originally heard about this restaurant on The Food Network and thought it was worth a try. Everything we ordered was delicious! I tried the grilled jumbo shrimps and the Moroccan platter –my mouth waters just thinking about it. You can tell that they use very high quality ingredients. I’ll be going back very soon.

We went back to this restaurant a week and a half ago upon the invitation of the owner. I thought that this was a very classy and thoughtful thing to do. He was disappointed that our first experience did not meet our expectations and wanted to have us back. I was impressed. Our second experience was very different than our first. First of all, the service was excellent. Our waiter was one of the best that I have had. The calamari was, again, a hit as were the blackberry mojitos. This time, we sampled their appetizer of the day, the stuffed eggplant which was very tasty and ordered the Cesar salad as well. For the main course, we all opted for the rib eye steak(14oz.), served with fresh market vegetables and roasted baby red potatoes, finished with a marsala demisteak. The portion was huge and the steak was good. We also enjoyed the dessert this time. The 7 year old at our table again chose the chocolate volcano cake. We also tried the cheesecake but my favourite was the Frutta di bosca, a light fruity dessert. I really like the ambiance of this restaurant. On Saturday nights(and possibly other nights as well) there is a saxophone player providing live music. Perhaps our first experience was an «off-night» for our waiter and the kitchen but they redeemed themselves this time around.
