Our pools are a WARM and inviting environment, great for helping to enhance the bonding process, having fun, making new friends… and the utter thrill of seeing your little one gliding underwater towards you. Our program teaches babies and toddlers swim fundamentals, water confidence and safety skills in a way, and to a standard like no one else in Canada.

We start babies from whatever age they (or their parents) feel comfortable, our youngest ever was only two days old and we commonly have babies book on in their first month! The Water Babies story can last for just over four years and is divided up into lots of different Chapters — each one builds on the last and is full of lots of splashy fun! Classes are kept intimate and the fun, relaxed atmosphere creates a sense of camaraderie within the group, with carers — and children — often hanging out together afterwards.

Over the years we know our lessons were directly responsible for saving the lives of more than a dozen little ones who otherwise might have tragically drowned. That makes us very proud.

We also have a world class underwater photography program. We captured over 100,000 underwater images in the past year, making us the world’s largest producer of underwater pictures!

Historique

Fondé en 2002.

When a young British couple began taking their baby to swim in 2002, it wasn’t long before they decided baby swimming could be so much more! They wanted a better program for their children and for other babies and toddlers, too… and so Water Babies was born :)

Today, Water Babies is world’s leading baby swim school, teaching more than 41,000 babies and toddlers in around 560 pools every week. Our classes have featured widely across the media and we’ve won lots of awards over the last few years, all voted for by

parents.

Classes across Toronto are run by Shawn Goldmintz. With degrees in International Business and Law, little did he expect when he started working as a franchise lawyer that within 3 years he’d be trading his suits and briefcase for a lycra teacher’s top and jumping into the magical world of baby swimming — but that’s exactly what happened!

After travelling to England to take part in our intensive training, he returned to Canada completely in awe of what young babies are capable of at such a young age, and ready to dive into a whole new watery world!
