This is actually a pretty good Asian grocer. I’ve bought my green onions, fresh mint, bok choi, limes, lemons, Japanese eggplant, fresh Thai red or green chillies and tons of other fresh produce here without any problem whatsoever. Plus, this place carries an array of items you need if you cook up Asian stir-fries or Indian curries as regularly as I do. Garlic paste, ginger paste, Sriracha sauce, fish sauce, soy sauces, Hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, Matouk’s and Nu Pak’s various Caribbean hot sauces(which should be a must-have item in your fridge at all times, put them on your fries or Shepherd’s Pie and you will NEVER go back to ketchup. Trust me on this one), panko breadcrumbs, coconut cream or milk, canned water chestnuts, canned baby corn, frozen Chinese pork or beef dumplings, and probably some of the best prices in the city for giant frozen shrimp, if you know your way around Asian cooking, you can find everything you need here and then some. The folks here have always been friendly, never had a problem. Also if you happen to shop there at the end of the year, ask for a calendar when you get to the cash register, they give them out for free.

The place is a little bit of a mess but this is really great to have that Asian market in the southwest and not having to go to Chinatown or the Jean-Talon area to get those kind of products. The owner(often found at the cashier) is hilarious and will suggest things you can buy and what to do with it. Once, I asked here if they had Kimchi and she said, «not today, but I will make tomorrow»… of course, the next 3 – 4 times I came, she never had time to make it… so let me know if you manage to get Kimchi eventually! Prices are cheap and selection is good. Debit and cash, no credit cards here!
