I have had great results from these guys for transmission work. In fact many car dealers use this company as they are the experts.

Well I unlike the previous reviewer had a perfectly fine time dealing with bullfrog.
Let me preface by saying this was a one time interaction, but based off that one time, here’s how I found it.
I was actually a little hesitant going in, it sounded like our vans transmission was whining and I wasn’t looking forward to hearing the dollar damages. We brought it in, the staff was very helpful and prompt and courteous. Although they took longer to get to look at it then they’d initially anticipated, when they called us to say it was ready, they said they couldn’t find anything actually wrong with the transmission and that there would be no charges for their time. Upon arrival to pick the van back up, we were again met with nothing but polite courtesy. I can’t speak to the quality of their work, but I can say that they were quick, courteous, pleasant, polite and nice and honest enough to not charge for their time for a no-​fault-​found situation and they did not try to create a repair where none existed. I left feeling pretty good about dealing with them.

Horrible experience.
I got a coupon for a $ 30 transmission check, so I tried Bullfrog. I made it clear that I just wanted that service, nothing else, and that I could only spend the $ 30 of the offer. They agreed with no problem.
I come back a couple of hours later to pick up my car and find them taking the transmission apart. The guy at the desk says they decided it needs over $ 1500 in repairs so they went ahead and started without my approval. I pointed out the lack of authorization, and the guy said I had to pay it anyway if I wanted my car back.
When I pointed out that their own work order said it wasn’t authorized, the mechanic claimed he phoned me on my cell (which I didn’t have) and that I approved it. Completely untrue.
Finally they agreed to let me have my truck back if I paid twice the agreed price of $ 60, so I did it just to get my car back. I took it to a competitor a week later and they said that there was no indication of any trouble with the transmission, and that it certainly did not require thousands of dollars worth of work!
IMHO, Bullfrog is a rip-​off outfit and I would strongly recommend people not trust their vehicles to them.
