This place isn’t bad. Rather than specialize in a certain area WRT to outdoors they tend to have a little of everything for fishing, hunting, shooting, archery, etc. The selection is pretty good and the prices vary from reasonable to ridiculous depending on the item.
Mostly I go there looking for something they don’t have it but they tend to me items that most places don’t have.
They do have good sales though and I have bought some chest waders for fishing, a reel, and a pistol in the past.
The customer service really varies. I have found the people working in the main area where the fishing, clothing, camping sections are are very helpful however I haven’t been very impressed with the guys in the firearms/​hunting section. Usually I have to fight to get their attention and when I do ask I almost feel like i’m being a bother rather than a valued customer.
Overall, there aren’t many placed in Victoria that sells this type of items.
If you want camping stuff don’t forget Capital Iron. Fly fishing check out Robertsons, but for firearms/​shooting/​hunting, Island Outfitters is one of your only choice with the exception of Pullens.
Whether or not you choose to buy here, make sure it is on your list to stop as you still have a good chance of finding what you want at a price you are happy with.
