Oak Bay Library

Somehow, this library has made a free Toddler Storytime into a bureaucratic nightmare. I tried to take my daughter there this morning — parked 2 blocks away and carried her in the rain to the library. There was a sign saying to get a number and once all the numbers were gone, the program was considered full… I couldn’t find any numbers or anyone to ask so I waited at the front desk for at least 10 minutes while the one staff member helped 2 or 3 people in front of me. When someone finally came to help her, I told her we were there for the toddler program but didn’t know where the numbers were… and she told me it had already started and they didn’t like people coming in late. Are you kidding me??? Its a free, drop-​in program for families with small children and you’re enforcing TIME restrictions??? We will not be back.
