We were there on Tuesday January 18, 2016 & found it was all you can eat Cod & Fries day. Being seniors with smaller appetites our waitress, Gabby, recommended we try a single piece of Cod with 12 Shrimp & fries which we had & it was extremely delicious.
Gabby was very attentive, checked back several times asking if everything was OK and did we wish anything else. We would highly recommend Salty’s. We will certainly be back.

Some of the best fish & chips I’ve had since moving to Canada from the UK!
Their halibut is phenomenal, it never fails to impress me. My boyfriend always gets the Captain’s Table, comes with breaded oysters, scallops and shrimp as well as the standard fish and chips — everything tastes delicious. We tried the curry sauce one time too, it was like being back home!
While the food is amazing, the service might even be better. The guy who is always working when we go is super nice and efficient, he makes it a really exceptional experience every time.
Just when you think it can’t get any better… the bill comes with chocolate mints!

Salty’s Fish and Chips is a small chain of restaurants. The interesting thing is that not all the stores are as good as the others at making the fish. This location is a little out of the way, but they know how to cook fish.
The batter is light and not too greasy. You have a choice of fish and the fish pieces are generous so don’t order too many unless you want to take some fish home. Find out what the locals know; it’s worth the drive out of downtown Vic.
