I bought an accordion from these guys at the Accordion Festival in Cotati. The accordion was a beautiful full-size black Excelsior 120-bass. It’s a simple model with 2⁄1 reeds. It has worked perfectly for the last 5 years and sounds amazing. It was $ 500. It worked out far better than I could have expected.

I walked into Tempo Trend knowing nothing about the accordion except that I wanted to play it. Martin took the time with me to find out what my budget was and explain the different types of accordions to find the right fit for a starter instrument. I’ve been taking lessons with an amazing, patient teacher in a comfortable environment for only $ 20 a pop. It’s wonderful to sit in the waiting room before my lesson and listen to the encouragement coming from the teachers while their students show what they’ve learned! They offer full price paid trade-in and repairs for two years after purchase, as well as rentals. The store does tend to get busy on the weekends, so you might end up waiting in line for a bit until someone is available to help. I know I chose the right place and I’m SO looking forward to furthering my music with Tempo Trend in the years to come!

Worst store in Victoria. Long history of serious mistakes, convenient memory lapses, lost consigned items. I would love to retell some of the stories, but I don’t have all day. Martin, you lost my mothers accordion!
