Spécialités
The Troller Ale House has a large selection of craft beer and premium draught as well as Fresh Tap Wines. The menu consists of quality pub fare with reasonable prices and generous portions. Specialties include fish & chips, house-made burgers, fresh salads, seafood dishes as well as pub favourites like chicken wings, fish tacos, pulled pork poutine and a Giant Yorkshire Pudding.
Located steps from the ferry terminal, the room was recently renovated and can be described as a modern pub with incredible views of the marina, mountains and Howe Sound. The pub features nicely appointed furnishings, dark wood and recycled materials in a bright, vibrant room. The heated and covered patio has 36 seats and is great for watching ferries come and go.
The pub also offers a vast selection of beer and wine for take out with over the counter off sale service.
Historique
Fondé en 2013.
Originally Established in 1977.
In 1982, The Troller Pub was given permission to serve their own beer on premise, making it the first pub in Canada to serve craft beer on tap. The small brewery made from old dairy equipment was able to produce 30 kegs of ale per week; barely enough to keep up with the demand from the busy pub.
The pub was renovated in the early 90’s and operated in its location until 2013. On August 22, 2013 The Troller was relocated to its current location at 6342 Bay Street (formerly Arigato Sushi) and continues to be a popular meeting place for residents of Horseshoe Bay and surrounding areas.
