I’ve been dying to come here since Eros opened its pop-up restaurant, Kagerou Ramen House on May 2, 2014. Kagerou Ramen House is stationed at Eros but ONLY on Fridays from 7:30PM to 10PM(close). I finally got a day off work so I came with a friend. I’ve seen photos, on Kagerou Ramen House’s facebook page here: and heard by word-of-mouth that they’ve sold before closing and long lines. To prevent that, my friend and I arrived at 6:30PM but only saw patrons eating Eros food. We killed time and came back at 6:50 to see a couple people trickling in. We were allowed to grab a table at 7PM(and they do welcome you to come in and wait providing if there are tables available. I shouldn’t be saying this because I don’t want to have to fight anyone for a spot aha…). We waited and around 7:25, a waitress went by to tables and gave us napkins, chopsticks, and asked what we’d like to drink(we had water). Then another waitress came by to the tables to give us our menus. Kagerou Ramen House changes its menu every two weeks between chicken and pork. Tonight’s menu had gyoza(6 for $ 5), Tokyo Style Shoyu Ramen($ 10), Shio(salt) Ramen($ 10), and add-ons for extra $ like more meat, other toppings, noodles, and/or broth. We weren’t sure what to get and if we’d like it so I got the Tokyo Style Shoyu Ramen and she got Shio Ramen. We split on an order of gyoza. We waited about 20 to 25-minutes for our meals as the place was full. The gyoza came out first and it was accompanied by a dipping sauce(probably black vinegar, soy sauce, and something?) but it was standard and delicious(you must be awful if you mess up something as simple as gyoza). Our bowls came out and although we liked the soup of ours own, we ended up swapping bowls with each other :) Our bowls came with a piece of nori(seaweed), bamboo shoots, half-boiled eggs, pork, and green onions. The only thing different about our bowls was the broth where Tokyo Style Shoyu Ramen is a bit darker than Shio! I was thankful that the soup was hot enough so I could let my eggs cook underneath my noodles(I don’t like half-boiled eggs). I gave the yolks to my friend. Both broths were not heavy and were easy on your stomach. The pork was 90% meat and 10% fat so that was a delight. The noodles were stretchy and bouncy and were absolutely«slurpable»(imagine a cartoon where they slurp up noodles because they were delicious! That was my friend and I tonight!) My friend strongly dislikes pork but she loved it tonight. She was very pleased with her meal and said it was the best purchase she’d made in a long time. She’s even making sure we go once a month to Kagerou Ramen House because she loves it so much now! If you want to have some amazing ramen, come here.
