So this bar/​lounge was not on the list for me to review… so obviously I had to add it. I grew up in Windsor and have been to several bars/​clubs/​etc that you can think off in the area. I then moved to New york city a few years ago and am very involved with the nightlife usually at trendy places in meatpacking and LES. So obviously this place had to have struck a chord in me to make me add this business to Unilocal to review it.
This place is next to Jack Rabbits. It is on the inside street. You can almost miss it if you don’t know where it is which adds to its flavour. I heard about this place from a friend on Facebook when I was visiting Windsor. I decided to go there with my fiancé.
When you walk in you can see the charm almost instantly. It is a small lounge/​bar with tall table and chairs and longe chairs along the walls. There is usually a guy playing live music on the 2^nd floor overlooking the main floor/​bar area. There are two bartenders and the head bartender/​owner usually brings in a guest bartender every week or so to keep things interesting with drinks. They have $ 20 wine deals on some days too I believe.
The crowd is mostly 23−30yr old crowd… not too young… not too old. Although there are some variances the nights I was there most of the people were in the low 20s I believe. Oh… and here is probably the most important thing about the place… The ratio… There are more girls than guys. The place is very similar to places I goto in NYC for a relaxed great time.
The Good:
A) Great location
B) Great crowd
C) Great bartender
D) Great drinks although I did not test them on some exotic drinks
E) Very welcoming environments
F) Live music with a music of playlist top 40ish songs.
The Bad:
A) I wish it was bigger so more people could enjoy the great place
This is a great place for someone who is not looking to goto a headbanger nightclub and listen to constant bass thrusts. This is a great relaxed place to bring your girls on dates or enjoy drinks with friends and have a great relaxed time. They even have a TV I believe to catch some games.
