The place was pretty seedy looking. There were buckles and cracks in the walls and paint, and the booths were covered in large holes and tears. The whole place looked like an outdated time capsule from 1998 that hasn’t gotten a facelift since. The actual food itself wasn’t anything spectacular either. The size of burgers are very generous, and the onion rings were quite nice– but it’s only slightly better than your run-of-the-mill fast food joint. It’s nothing to go out of your way for. At least the service was very friendly and helpful! That aspect gets an A+

Service is good! Great selection of canned pop(even have Fanta). Amazing Fat Boy(only $ 3.99), some of the best onion rings in the city and delicious homemade fries. It’s not a fancy place but it’s clean and the food is good. If you are on Portage and thinking about a burger — forget fast food stop here! And this place is always busy when I’m here — so I’m not alone on this one!

Service: Good. Seemed to be a mom and pop joint. The lady took my order, asked me to sit and brought it to my table. She was extremely friendly. Décor: Simple, a bit outdated but satisfactory for a burger joint. Again, I’m not here to stare at the décor. Food: Good. I had the cheese burger and poutine. The cheeseburger was good. The bun was really good, almost like a soft kaiser. The patty had a bit of a chili seasoning or so. There was a hint of a kick and I could see a bit of the color of the spices rub off on the bun. It was quite good. The poutine was fair. I couldn’t pin point it but the cheese just wasn’t «perfect». It was an average poutine. Review: In a nut shell, I knew when the guy after ordered«the regular» I had found the right place. The lady was nice and the food was good. What else could you want from a burger joint?(washrooms were satisfactory, compared to other burger joints I have been to). They had a banner that read«Once you’ve eaten here, you’ll be back». I will be back. Reason for stars: 4 Stars because the food was good and the staff was nice. Not 5 stars because it wasn’t a fine dining experience. IMO, this is the most any burger joint could get. This place had great value.
