While visiting Winnipeg I attended two drop in classes at Yoga on Corydon, both taught by the owner Jana. It was the beginning of a new session so the classes were full, but I didn’t feel crowded or cornered I may fall over on to my neighbour. Both classes focused on strengthening the abs and relieving pressure and stress on the lower back. The visual cues she provided and the stepwise building of exercises left me feeling both comfortable and confident in my postures even though I hadn’t done yoga for a few months. Jana was friendly and soft spoken, the ideal yoga instructor. She walked through the class offering corrections, adjustments and modifications to ensure you were doing what worked for you and your body. The price for two drop in classes was really reasonable. Her schedule offers several evening options that worked for our unpredictable vacation schedule. I left feeling relaxed with my posture feeling more aligned after the classes. I’d highly recommend her if you’re looking for a regular yoga class in Winnipeg.
